He was born In Woonsocket, R.I., a son, William W. md Florence Hall Quinton. He l!'lduated from Water­ ville High School In 1926 and Colby College In 1930. In 1933, he marrld Evelyn Haycock. He came to Lewiston In 1936 and wu the superin­ dentent of the Androscoggin Division of Bates Manu­ facturing Co. He later became the plant manager. In 1955 he founded his own textile company, Quinco Fabrics Inc. Mr. Quinton retired in 1980. He was a member of the Hildl Street Congregation­ al Church, the Masons, the '\'ork Rite Bodies, the Scottish Rite Bodies, the Kora Temple In Lewiston, where he was the Potentate In 1963, a member and past president of the Auburn/ Lewlstion Kiwanis Club, the Royal Order or Jesters, Cablrl, a member ol the board of directors of Casco Northern Bank, and a current honorary member of that boar1. He served on the board of directors of the Aur­ burn/ Lewlston YMCA, and was the qent for the class ot 1930at Colby College. He enjoyed ham radio and hit call letters were WI HUT. He also enjoyed photography and ny fishing. Surviving are his wife of Auburn; a son, Robert E. ot Auburn; a sister, Edith Quinton of Plymouth, Mua.; and two granddaughters. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the High Street Congregational Church. Burial wil be In Grace lawn Memorial Park. Remarks Robert Quinn worked for several glass companies RICHMOND - Robert C. Quinn, 63, of Richmond died Friday morning at the Veterans Administration hospital at Togus, where he was a patient for six weeks. He was born in South Portland. a son of Joseph L. and , Mary P. Sawyer Quinn, and attended local schools. He served for live years in the Marine Corps, including the Korean War years. In 1954 he manied Gloria E. Macinnis in Portland He was self-employed and worked for the Quinn Glass · Co. and several other glass companies in the Portland. Lewiston and Waterville areas. Mr. Quinn was a member of the Augusta Masonic Lodge, the Richmond American Legion Post and the 'Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution. Surviving are three daughters, Katie N. Lusk of Two Harbors, Mlnn, Elizabeth M. Robertson of Long Island. N.Y., and Dawn PoUis of Dresden; three sons, Patrick of Leeds, Robert of Patuxent River, Md, and Timothy of Lewiston; three sisters, Katherine Cardilli and Elizabeth Barrett, both of Scarborough, and Doris Buckley of Laguna Beach, Calif.; a brother, Leo J . He was bom in Bucksport, Maine, a son of Herbert M. and Arabelle Quinn. He attended Bucksport schools, graduating from the Eastern Maine Conference Semin­ ary in 1922. He also attended the Chicago Engineering Works School and Hill Diesel Engineering Service School in Chicago, m Mr. Quinn married Jennie G. Deake oo Oct. 19, 1923. She died in 1946. His second wife, VIlla E. Hayden, whom he manied in 1947, died in 1990. Mr. Quinn was an automobile mechanic lor 18 years. He became a traveling salesman for the Seiberling Rubber Co. of Akron, Ohio; Al1hur Hahn Co. of Har1Iord, Conn.; and Edwards Supply Co. in Portland, t.faine, where he retired at lhe age of 75. Mr. Quinn was a member of Howard Lodge F&AM No. 69 of WinterpOrt, Maine; a 32nd degree Mason; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Consistoty Valley of Portland, 1\laine; ANAH Temple, AAON:'d.S, of Bangor, Maine; also a member of AHAH Temple Band He was a member of Kora Temple of Lewiston, Maine, and had an bononuy life mem~ in Kora Oriental Band He had a life membership in Kennebec Valley Shrine Club, Augusta, ~Iaine. Mr. Quinn was a member of Kora Shrine Club of Greater Portland, ~Iaine, and the· North Eastern Shrine Oriental Band Association. He was a member of Clealwater Shrine Club, Clearwater, Fla., and a member of Royal American Shrine Club, spon­ sored by Kaaha Temple. March 25, 1934, he married Dorothy Hek!n Joyce. The coupk! made their home here all their married Uves. Mrs. Rl died October 1 2, 1982.

He enjoyed a lifelong career tobsterlng on Wheelers Day.

Mr. Rackliff was a member of Tenants Harbor Lodge of Masons and for more than 60 years was a member of Wiley COrner Grange.

He loved to hunt, work In his workshop and studying his family's genealogy.

Radcliffe, 85, of Chestnut Street died Thursday at his daughter's home in Cwnber· land, Rl He was a son of Sidney and Caroline Johnson Radcliffe, grew up in Watertown, 1\fass., and attended local schools there. On May 2, 1943, he manied Dorothy M. Dimick in Portsmouth, N.H. She died in 1995. During World Warn, Mr. Radcliffe worked as a welder and mechanic at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery. In 1946 he and his wife moved to Rockland where he was employed at the Main Street Gulf Station for several years. He then worked at the Knox County Courthouse as a maintenance worker, and later worked for Coleman Woodward Drycleaners in Camden making home deliv- eries. ' He was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Rockland, the Rockland Masonic Lodge, King Solomon's Temple and the JGng Hiram Council Mr. Radcliffe was well-known for his beautiful gardens. He enjoyed leatherwork and was a vecy talented woodworker who made furniture in his spare time. Surviving are two daughters, Jane A Slocum of Whitman, Mass., and Caroline R Gosselin of Cumher· land, R I.; a sister, Edith Warren of Peny, N.Y.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. VISiting hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at Carpenter Funeral Home, 306 Broadway, Rockland A funeral service will be held there at 10 am. Wednesday with the Rev. He was born In Danforth June 20,1902, son of Arthur and Gladys Gilpatrick Ragon, and had been a resident of Read­ field many years. He was graduated from Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield and attended Brown University, Providence, R.I. Mr. Ragon was a retired commercial manager for · the New England Telephone Co. He was a life member of Meridian Lodge, AF 1: AM, of Pittsfield and a former member of the Augusta Rotary Club.
