Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been realised that the overall champion at the Greater Kengal Swimming Carnival was actually a tie! So I would like to congratulate Ryan Muir who achieved equal points to Rose Kennedy. We apologise for the oversight and I thank Ryan for the mature way he approached the issue. Well done Ryan!

Yesterday Rose, Rachael and Grace attended the Tennis pre-selection. They played 4 games of singles each during the trialling process and from a pool of 15 girls a team of 5 was selected with a reserve also named. Unfortunately the girls didn’t make the team however Rachael was named the reserve player. Well done Rachael!

Jess and I are looking forward to Parent Teacher Interviews next Monday and Tuesday afternoon. Please contact the school if you haven’t made an appointment, especially if the times don’t suit, as we would really like to meet with everyone and are able to schedule alternative appointments to accommodate you if needed.

Going home with the newsletter today is a Parent Survey that we would like you to fill in and bring to the interview with you. Don’t stress about the answers, it’s just a bit of an overview, and we will talk further about them at the interview.

Our ‘Breakfast full of Dairy’ was a great success with all students enjoying wheat-bix, yoghurt and a glass of milk. Thanks to the Year 6 prefects for serving and cleaning up. A very enjoyable morning.

Thanks to Kellie Noske and her daughter Katherine who kindly donated their time and went to to pick up the new (second hand) library shelving. We are in the process of designing a plan for the library and hopefully will be ready for some helpers to assist with the re-organisation later next week. I will send out a ‘Help Needed!’ call when finalised.

Also thanks to Layton Anschaw ( and Terri) who have advised me on what needs to happen with the fixed equipment that is needing repair, and offered to organise to have it done. It will be great to have it back in use!

Be kind, work hard and smile often… Jenni
