NEWS & UPDATES 1. Election code of conduct meeting was organized by the District Coordination Committee (DCC) and the DLSA and attended by district authorities, press, election commission, and POs. It was agreed during the meeting that reconstruction activities that have been approved by the NRA can proceed smoothly (e.g. schools, health posts, etc.) 2. Distribution activities (seeds, goat, agriculture instruments, and cash) should be stopped in the run up to the election. Any ongoing training, especially masons training (short and vocational), can continue but should take a low profile, and no new trainings should start before the elections. 3. 24 HHs from and Padrung VDCs of have received third tranche of government subsidy i.e. NPR 1 lakh after constructing either bio gas plant or toilet along with fully compliance house with financial and technical support from SSICDC/Save the Children. 4.Christian Aid-Goreto Gorkha committed to support 3 events of skilled mason training to train 75 skilled masons in VDC (Gap VDC) which was requested by DUDBC/DLPIU and HRRP Gorkha. © Sunita Gurung
