Paul Bell 2019 Sponsorship Proposal ON TRACK FOR SUCCESS

Paul Bell may have motor oil running through his veins. As he says himself, “If it’s got four wheels and an engine, I’ve probably driven it. Even my kids Morgan and Jensen are named after cars!”

Paul had taken part in track days for a decade and a half before first getting behind the wheel competitively in 2014, entering his beloved, race-ready Vauxhall Nova into Scottish saloons and sports races at .

After one season and some class wins, Paul began looking into single-marque racing. Given his knowledge of front-wheel drive and big grids, Mini Cooper racing seemed the obvious choice. Drawn by the excitement and the intense competition, Paul embarked on a steep learning curve.

During his first season, he focused on upping his game, gathering a few newcomer trophies despite being on a limited budget. In 2016, he built on what he’d learned, and there were several podium finishes, while the season’s highlight, and indeed that of Paul’s career to date, was winning the Scottish championship.

In 2017 on a limited budget Paul competed in the MINI CHALLENGE JCW national race series and finished in the top half of the championship with 292 points and also won the directors cup, against some of the best talent in British motorsport including multiple champions and touring car drivers.

In 2018 Paul started looking for another exciting race series and found the Michelin Clio cup very appealing, a quick test in one of the race cars confirmed this was indeed a great car to race, so a car was purchased. Despite only entering two Michelin Clio cup events in 2018 Paul has already found himself at the sharp end of the grid finishing 6th in his first meeting and 5th in the second. With extra funding Paul can be a strong contender in the 2019 Clio cup events and provide sponsors with excellent social media exposure and brand recognition at some of the best Circuits in the UK.
