If you are one of the 30,000 cars traveling each day along Oxley rd in Brisbane’s wests, you cannot help but notice the picturesque and iconic Graceville Memorial Park with its heritage listed grandstand and white picket fenced ovals. Since 1924, Graceville Memorial Park has been the home of one of Brisbane’s oldest and most successful cricket clubs, the Western Suburbs District Cricket Club “Wests” – the mighty Bulldogs. This year saw wests turn 100 with a Centenary Luncheon taking place on the hallowed turf of Graceville Memorial Park. Wests is a strong and successful club providing the summer sport option for the community of the western suburbs. WSDCC has eight men’s teams, two women’s teams and two youth teams playing in the Queensland Premier Competitions. We also have a junior playing base of over 400 which feeds into our Wests+Plus Academy program for our developing juniors and a vibrant club community of approximately 1,200 people. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to partner with this great club and our great sport of cricket. Wests has an established link with the local Quest Newspaper, Local Westside News of whom are great supporters of our club.

B.Env Design Arnold Wolthers Architects Southport 0475 086 440 Board of Architects of Queensland Registration Number 2857 Federation Walk Nature Reserve First published 2002 Revised 8 th January 2009 Latest Print 7 February 2017 © Arnold Wolthers Architects Arnold Wolthers – Project Architect The Federation Walk Management Plan was prepared and authored by Arnold Wolthers Architects, in 2002 following the construction and completion of the ‘Federation Walk’. Prior to construction of the ‘walk’ the alignment was first surveyed and charted by the author following numerous field reconnaissance trips and traverses to consider trees and vegetation of significance identified for protection and mapped during this exercise. Arnold Wolthers attended the site daily when construction was in progress to ensure the design maintained its integrity and direction. Twenty two detailed design elements were presented along with this Management Plan for future implementation as funds become available. These include an ocean viewing platform, a lookout point, wheelchair access provisions, a skywalk, nodal intersection detailing and entry statements. This Management Plan was presented to City of Gold Coast, and has been referenced and utilised by Council as a resource. T Submitted in fulfilment of the requirements of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy School of Education and Professional Studies Arts, Education and Law Griffith University February 2013 THEATRE ECOLOGY OF THE GOLD COAST OF AUSTRALIA 2 Abstract Background A Place in the Sun explores theatre and its practice in a distinctive Australian regional community, the Gold Coast in the South East corner of Queensland. Theatre in Australian communities, from small regional towns to capital cities has, historically, been the site of a great deal of activity and achievement and this study sought to engage with its contemporary form. This study asked whether there was a local theatre practice, what it comprised, who was involved and why they were so engaged. To facilitate this inquiry, I proposed that the theatre and performance activities of a community be seen as an ecology. The ecological paradigm links the individual elements of theatre-making; the various people, companies and types of performance. Reinforcing this is a paradigm of integration that highlights a relationship that is symbiotic between these elements and the social, cultural and economic environment that they operate in. Using an ecological paradigm allows us to consider the elements of theatre as being involved in constant exchanges that makes all parts of this ecology reliant to some degree on all the other parts. Study Propositions This study was underpinned by two initial guiding propositions.
