If you answered YES to any of these ques- tions, then community service is perfect for you! Community service doesn’t only benefit your surroundings but you yourself as an individual also. While helping others you will uncon- sciously gain the very valuable trait of being humble. Communi- ty service also helps you gain hours that are needed to gradu- ate and obtain scholarships. So now that your in the know about community service, you need to know where to offer a helping hand, RIGHT? BDCHS held their junior-senior prom with the theme “The Great Gatsby.” Stu- dents got the op- portunity to dance the night away at the Tampa Club in Downtown Tampa. Our Phoenix upper- classmen created lasting memories and had the time of their lives.

The New York Rangers came running out of the gate in Round 3 of the Stan- ley Cup Playoffs. In Game 1, the Rangers dominated the Montréal Canadians with a score of 7-2. The Rangers also beat the Canadians in Game 2 with a score of 3-1. The Rangers currently lead the series 3-2.

Western Conference A shrimp's heart is in its head The Chicago Blackhawks started out Round 3 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a 3-1 win against the Los Angeles Kings. In the Eastern Conference Finals, the Miami Heat brought it in Game 2 to tie the series up against the Indiana Pacers 1-1. In the Western Conference Finals, the San Antonio Spurs made a nice cushion for themselves in Game 2 and now lead the series 2-0. The winners of each of the Conference Finals will head onto the NBA Finals, where one team will become champions.

2014 NFL Draft Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney from the University of South Carolina was drafted by the Texans as the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. The Buccaneers, who had the seventh daft pick in the first round, drafted wide reveiver Mike Evans from Texas A&M. Other players who the Bucs picked up were tight end Austin Se- ferian-Jenkins, running back Charles Sims, offensive guard , offensive tackle Kevin Pam- phile, and .

Impressive Start for Some Major League Teams...Currently the best record in Major League Baseball goes to the Oakland Athletics who have a record of 30-19 and a .652 winning percentage. This record is followed by the San Francisco Giants who have a 28-18 record and a winning percentage of .609 and the Milwaukee Brewers who have an impressive 28-19 record with a .596 winning percentage. These teams are on the right track, but slow and steady wins the race in a 162 game season.
