Southern Arkansas Muleriders 1 1 Southern Arkansas' (38-4) school record 24-game winning streak came to an end in a loss to Louisiana State-Shreveport, but the 'Riders earned the number one seed in the GSC tournament by sweeping Ouachita Baptist.

Tampa Spartans 2 2 Tampa (39-8) suffered its first Sunshine State Conference series loss of the year when they dropped a doubleheader to Barry on Saturday. A critical conference showdown awaits with Southern this week.

Central Missouri University Mules 3 3 The Mules (34-5) won a game a Drury and took three of four from visiting Fort Hayes State. MIAA leader UCM travels to Kirksville to play Truman State who is bringing up the rear of the conference standings.

Florida Southern College Moccasins 4 4 The Mocs (37-6) were on the road and won a game over St. Leo and took two of three from Palm Beach Atlantic. FSC will prep for their conference showdown with Tampa by hosting Embry-Riddle midweek.

UC San Diego Tritons 5 5 UCSD (37-6) lost their series opener to Cal State LA, but came back to win the final three over the Golden Eagles. The Tritons play CSUDH next week and could wrap up first-place in the CCAA with a pair of wins.

Francis Marion Patriots 6 6 The Patriots (35-10) won a game on the road over Coker, earned a home win over Newberry and won a quality series over UNC Pembroke. The wins over the Braves secured FMU the top seed for the East Division in next month's PBC Tournament.

Abilene Christian Wildcats 7 7 Rain delayed ACU's (38-10) series with SWOSU and they've only played one game so far, a 2-1 win by the Bulldogs. The Wildcats also lost to St. Edwards 3-18 in a week to forget.

Columbus State Cougars 8 8 The Cougars (34-9) won a game on the road over Stillman and two of three at Georgia Southwestern. CSU will visit West Florida in a matchup of ranked teams Wednesday and host Augusta State over the weekend.

Emporia State Hornets 9 9 Emporia (31-10) battered Sterling 24-4 midweek, but could only manage a split with Missouri Southern. ESU's hopes of winning the MIAA conference crown will require them to TCB next week over Washburn.

Kutztown Pennsylvania Golden Bears 10 10 The Golden Bears' (30-9) Nathan Reed tossed a no hitter against Bloomsburg to help KU top the 30-win mark for the seventh consecutive year. A loss in the nightcap dropped Kutztown into a first place tie with West Chester with a weekend series remaining.

Georgia College and State Bobcats 11 11 GCSU (29-12) lost an extra inning affair to Valdosta State midweek and swept Montevallo by scoring nearly 18 runs per game in the three game series. A tough week awaits with another game with VSU and three at North Greenville.

New Mexico Highlands Cowboys 12 12 The Cowboys (30-6) had a doubleheader with CSU-Pueblo canceled due to weather and clobbered Colorado Christian 22-3.

Mount Olive College Trojans 13 13 The Olives (38-9) lost their opener to Anderson in the Conference Carolinas Tournament, but came back to win four in a row to capture the Championship. MOC will ready for the Southeast Regional by playing two with Chowan this week.

Barry Buccaneers 14 20 The Bucs (27-14) dropped the first game of their series with Tampa, but stormed back to take two from the second rated Spartans in Tampa. Another quality opponent, the , are on the schedule for this week.

Valdosta State Blazers 15 15 The Blazers (31-12) won a 13 inning battle with Georgia College and swept three from visiting Lambuth. VSU has a big conference series with West Florida this week.

California State - Dominguez Hills Toros 16 23 The hills were alive with a sound of a Toros' (34-11) series win over CCAA rival Chico State. CSUDH will play UC San Diego this week with hopes of sweeping the Tritons and moving into first place in the conference. West Chester Pennsylvania Golden Rams 17 17 West Chester (31-9) had wins over Widener and Wilmington this week. The Rams are in a first place tie with Kutztown in the PSAC and need to win big over Shippensburg and hope Millersville can topple the Bears.

Grand Valley State Lakers 18 18 GVSU (28-10) started the week with a pair of wins over Lewis and finished with two more over Ashland, but lost three games in the middle, including a pair to Wayne State.

USC Aiken Pacers 19 16 The Pacers (28-15) dropped the first two in their series with Armstrong Atlantic, but did salvage a win in the finale. USCA will try to regain the composure this week with games against the likes of Catawba, Claflin, Erskine and Belmont Abbey.

Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys 20 NR The Wonderboys (33-14) make their first appearance in the rankings after sweeping three from Delta State for the first time in school history. Tech will close out the GSC portion of its schedule next weekend as when they face Harding.

Delta State Statesmen 21 14 Delta State (31-13-1) won a pair of lopsided games over Montevallo, but were swept in three games by Arkansas Tech - their first ever three-game series sweep by the Wonderboys. DSU fell to third in the GSC West with the losses, behind SAU and Tech.

Florida Tech Panthers 22 19 Tech (33-13) started the week with two wins over Florida Memorial, but lost a series to Lynn over the weekend to nearly fall out of the rankings. Two with Palm Beach Atlantic a series with St. Leo with a game against Nova Southeastern mixed in this week.

West Florida Argonauts 23 24 UWF (32-15) split a pair with Georgia Southwestern and won a series over the South Atlantic Conference regular season champion Wingate. The Argos will complete the regular season by hosting Valdosta State in one of the week's top showdowns.

Chico State Wildcats 24 22 Chico (27-15) was not the man as the Wildcats lost a series to Cal State Dominguez Hills. Chico State will play another red hot team next week when they host Western Oregon in non conference action.

Franklin Pierce University Ravens 25 27 Before Sunday's 1-0 loss to Pace, the Ravens (26-11) had won eight in a row. FPU's top two starters, Jose Macias and Mike Adams, are a combined 10-1 with a 1.68 ERA and 1.50 opposing batting average.

Catawba College Indians 26 26 The Indians (34-9) may not have won the regular season SAC title, but by winning Wednesday, they did win the season series with Wingate by taking three of four from the Bulldogs. Catawba also had a series win over Carson-Newman last week.

Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles 27 28 USI (33-9) split with Northern Kentucky and won a series over Missouri S&T. The Screaming Eagles play DI Evansville and hit the road to play St. Joseph's College in GLVC action.

Minnesota State - Mankato Mavericks 28 29 In their only action of the week the Mavericks (27-9) split a pair with Minnesota-Duluth. This week the Mavs host Concorida-St. Paul and Wayne State.

North Georgia College and State Saints 29 30 North Georgia (29-14) had a one run win over Emory and won a road series over Augusta State. The Saints host West Georgia and NAIA Truett-McConnell this week.

Western Oregon Wolves 30 NR After a dismal start to the season, in which they lost their first six games, the Wolves (26-11) are playing quality baseball and have won sixteen games in a row. Extending their streak will not be easy when they travel south to play four with Chico State this week.

Dropped out:

̇ Erskine (37-14) was grounded in the Conference Carolinas Tournament, getting a early ouster with losses to Pfeiffer and Anderson. The Flying Fleet can rejoin the rankings with a successful week, but it won't be easy with USC Aiken, GCSU and Armstrong Atlantic on the schedule. ̇ The Incarnate Word Cardinals (32-12) still have a three game lead on St. Mary's in the conference loss column, but by losing three of four last week, UIW lost the season series to the Rattlers 5-2.
