Worm Screws - Single and Double
Single Worm Screws - work best when trying to clear a more solidified type of obstruction such as rags, fats, grease, silt or a severe root mass. Double Worm Screws - work best when the blockage is perhaps of a larger or looser nature as the twin prongs can be wound into the obstruction until they grip hold.

Drain, Flue and Pipe Cleaning Brushes Wardsflex offer a wide range of brushes in various sizes and styles from 19mm diameter to 360mm manufactured in Nylon, Wire or Flat Strip Steel and are suitable for a variety of tasks Spiral Nylon and Spiral Wire brushes are typically used for removing light to medium deposits on the inside of drains, flues and other pipes. Flat Strip Steel Brushes are more aggressive and are generally used where the deposits on the inside of pipes and drains are heavier and require additional strength to remove. With all three types of brushes, the larger diameters have more flexible bristles than the small diameters.

Coiled Spring Steel Rods
Wardsflex Coiled Spring Steel Rods are ideal for clearing blockages in drains with awkward bends including those with interceptors or 'S' traps, 'P' traps and 'Q' traps.
Rod sets are available in 19mm (3/4 inch) and 13mm (1/2 inch) diameters with a variety of tools and attachments that can be added from the list below.
As a guide, 13mm coiled spring rods are more suited for plumbing type tasks such as waste pipes from a bath and sink or urinal, but can be used to clear obstructions in tight bends in foul drains or rainwater gully outlet pipes. 19mm rods are more suited for clearing obstructions in the larger drains around a property such as the regular 4" foul drains and rainwater pipes leading to soakaways.

The Wardsflex Manhole Cover Lifters permit safe, easy lifting of single and double manhole covers (depending upon model) by a single person. For heavy duty lifting applications Wardsflex has developed the MK 1 & MK 2 Hydraulic Manhole Cover Lifters. Use the MK 1 Hydraulic Manhole Cover Lifter with single manhole covers and the MK 2 for lifting double manhole covers. All Manhole Cover Lifters are supplied complete with 2-pairs (4-pairs for MK 2 lifter) of Manhole Cover keys (13mm diameter & 16mm diameter).

Arnold Mk1 Manhole Lifter- the versatile lifting device
Arnold Mk.1 is designed to allow a single person to safely remove and replace a variety of manhole, duct and trench covers. It has a safe working load of 125kgs and the effort required to manually operate the equipment is minimal. The device is designed to fold into a compact size making it easy to transport and store. The pivoting bearer beam allows the lid to remain horizontal during the removal and replacement process and there are a variety of lifting keys available for use with most covers encountered in the UK. The wheels are 250mm diameter with pneumatic tyres allowing the device to be travelled across a gravelled surface although the device is not designed to travel across rough terrain whilst fully loaded
The Arnold Mk 1 lifting device has been tested and approved to lift lids up to 125kg and has a self weight of approximately 20kg

Air Testing Kits and Smoke Pellets
Air Testing Kit Ref: 14.00.00.000/atk The Wardsflex Air Testing Kit, when used in conjunction with the appropriate size of Drain Test Plugs, provides everything required for air testing of pipes up to a 4" water gauge. Kit comprises:
- 4" 'U' Gauge - 9' length of tubing
- hand bellows - 'Y' connecting piece
- 1/2" and 1" test nipple cap
Smoke Pellets (6 x 13g per tube Ref: 15.00.06.000/SPE
Smoke Pellets are typically used in the drainage industry to either identify the source of, or to rule out drain odour problems within or adjacent to surrounding properties.

Air Bag Stoppers Also known as inflatable drain stoppers, plugs, bungs or blanking stoppers. Wardsflex stock a wide range of Air Bag Stoppers to suit a variety of uses or preferences. The plugs are typically inserted into the pipe and inflated using a brass pump. Alternative may be available with Schrader valve fittings.

Drain Test Plugs

Wardsflex stock a wide range of Drain Test Plugs, many with a choice of Aluminium, Steel or Nylon.
The plugs are typically inserted into the pipe and the wing nut tightened to force the top and bottom plates together, thereby expanding the rubber ring to seal tightly in the pipe.
