cinemagic.ie DUBLIN ONLINE FILM FESTIVAL JULY 2020 ALL ACTIVITIES OPEN TO YOUNG PEOPLE AND FAMILIES IN IRELAND AND NORTHERN IRELAND CINEMAGIC DUBLIN Welcome to Cinemagic Dublin, an exciting month-long online programme of screenings, workshops, masterclasses and short film juries. We have programmed a contemporary season of the very best film content for young audiences to enjoy from home. A MESSAGE OF SUPPORT The Department of Education and Skills is delighted to continue its support for the Dublin Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival in 2020. Since 2008, the festival has provided a unique opportunity for young people to gain an insight into the world of film-making and to meet with industry professionals through participation in masterclasses and workshops. Cinemagic initiatives such as the cross-border jury, young film critic competitions and filmmaking academies provide young people from both jurisdictions on the island of Ireland with unique opportunities to engage and interact with each other, based on their shared interest and opinions on films produced specifically for children’s audiences.
