Superintendent’s Message Strategic Planning Meeting Winter’s icy grip seemed to arrive early this year; however, the chill in the air has done nothing to cool the enthusiasm, growth, and excitement within hearts and minds of our students and staff at Otselic Valley. One of my goals was to increase the level of connectivity and inclusivity among stakeholder groups within our school community, so we have started a number of initiatives in response. Strategic Planning In the late fall we completed the district’s Strategic Planning by consensus process. The Strategic Planning Committee is comprised of students, instructional and non-instructional staff, parents and community members, and administrators who worked together over four days spread out over November. This was Phase One; Phase Two will be the district’s roll out of the Strategic Plan which will include, but is not limited to, presenting the plan to the Board and community, faculty and staff, and students. Additionally, pending Board approval, we will together share the Strategic Plan with the greater Otselic Valley and implement the district’s new mission, vision, core beliefs, and performance measures. -
