1. NOTICE WAS GIVEN in the Harrow Times and Gazette on 26 March 2020 that the Council of the proposed to make the above mentioned Orders under sections 6, 84, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

2. Notice is hereby given that the following amendments to these Orders are now being proposed:- a. the proposed 20 mph speed limit in High Street between Ellen Webb Drive and George Gange Way will be extended to High Street between Ellen Webb Drive and Locket Road; b. the prohibited right turn from The Bridge to George Gange Way would not apply to taxis.

3. The prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2 above would not apply to vehicles being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in certain circumstances; or in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in relation to anything done in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the .

4. A copy of the proposed Orders, of a map of the relevant area and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published online at www.harrow.gov.uk/trafficorders or alternatively at Greenhill Library, Perceval Square, College Road, Harrow, HA1 1GX between 10.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. Monday to Saturday

5. Further information may be obtained by contacting the Transportation Service at [email protected].

6. Persons desiring to object to any of the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the Head of Traffic, Highways and Asset Management at [email protected] quoting reference 2020-08, before the aforementioned date

The Council of the London Borough of Harrow after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 84 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(a), as amended by the Local Government Act 1985(b) and of all other powers thereunto enabling hereby make the following Order:-

1. This Order shall come into operation on ** 2021 and may be cited as The Harrow (Speed Limit) (Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 2021.

2. In this Order, the expression “enactment” means any enactment, whether public, general or local, and includes any order, byelaw, rule, regulation, scheme or other instrument having effect by virtue of an enactment and any reference in this Order to any enactment shall be construed as a reference to that enactment as amended, applied, consolidated, re-enacted by or as having effect by virtue of any subsequent enactment.

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Harrow proposes to make the above mentioned Order under section 6 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of, and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to, the Local Government Act 1985.

2. The general effect of the Order would be to specify that every person causing any vehicle to proceed in Masons Avenue on the north-east side of the island site situated at or adjacent to the junction of Masons Avenue and The Bridge in the London Borough of Harrow shall cause that vehicle on reaching the north- western most point of the island site to proceed ahead only into Ellen Webb Drive.

3.
