Exhibit 1

The Radio and TV News Divisions of CBS Inc., will be using the INMARSAT Terminals for which authorization is requested is this application.

The INMARSAT terminals will be used for relaying news stories back to the main studios of CBS Radio and Television. These stories will be transmitted using high speed data as broadcast quality voice and video is needed.

The INMARSAT terminal will be used for communications only where no alternate means of communications exist.

DENIED APPLICATIONS:

Through subsidiary corporations, Westinghouse Electric Corporation has had the following applications denied:

Westinghouse Broadcasting Company subsidiaries:

1. On March 22, 1984, an application of Westinghouse Broadcasting and Cable, Inc., for modification of facilities of Station WPCQ—TV, Charlotte, North Carolina, was dismissed at the request of the applicant (File No. BPCT—811116KE, MM Docket No. 83—1160).

2. On June 29, 1956, an application of Westinghouse Broadcasting Company, Inc., for a television station construction permit in Portland, Oregon, (FCC File No. BPCT—494, Docket No. 9138) was denied by the Commission for reason of the selection of a competing applicant in a comparative licensing proceeding.

3. On June 4, 1938, an application of Westinghouse Electric Corporation concerning Station WBZA, Springfield, Massachusetts, (FCC File No. B1—P1131) was denied by the Commission.

CBS Inc.:

4. Application for consent to assign license of KSFO to Columbia Broadcasting System, Inc. Denied 1938 (6 FCC 387).

5. Application for consent to transfer of control of license of KQW to Columbia Broadcasting System, Inc. Denied 1946 (11 FCC 407).

6. Application for consent to assign the construction permit for WRTB from Raytheon Manufacturing Company to Columbia Broadcasting System, Inc. Dismissed as moot 1950 (BAPCT—8). 7. Applications for extension of time within which to construct Station KCBS(AM), San Francisco, California. Denied in 1950 because construction not possible due to Commission action on another pending application (BMP—4835). 8. Application for minor change to increase effective radiated power of WBBM—FM, , Illinois, from 6.0 kilowatts to 8.3 kilowatts. Dismissed in 1989 as inconsistent with 47 C.F.R. §73.213 (BMP—8902141A).

Exhibit 3

This application requests the modification of license KM2XJW. The applicant wishes to change the model and type of terminals used to the following INMARSAT approved terminals:
