A & U Children AUSTRALIA DECEMBER 2020 The Carbon-Neutral Adventures of the Indefatigable Enviroteens First Dog on the Moon

Greta Thunberg meets Homer Simpson* in this hilarious, illustrated and environmentally-friendly adventure from the country's enormously popular and only marsupial Walkley award-winning cartoonist. (*They don't really meet. This is just a saying.)

Description Meet our superheroes: - Binky aka The Monotreme, who has all the powers of a platypus and an echidna combined! - Worried Norman, who was bitten by a radioactive croissant on a school trip and now becomes Pastry Person with the power of 1000 toasted burger buns! - Letitia, an occasionally bossy science-wombat and genius inventor.

Together, they are The EnviroTeens and they are about to get very, very angry. Singleuse Brendan may have an evil plan to destroy all the world's turtles with his dastardly battle turtel-e-pooter, but believe it or not, there is something even more evil than an angry plastic bag on a garbage island in the middle of the ocean. Climate Change. The EnviroTeens will do anything to stop this impending disaster: scale slippery volcanoes, scurry through forests full of poisonous armpit monsters, even meet Senator Ian, the Climate Denialist Potato. But to really fix the planet, will they have to rid the world of all the adults who started it all? They can't biff everyone! What will they do?

Magic, mayhem and a ruthless, ghost-eating demon feature in this exciting conclusion to The Rogues from the award-winning author of the highly-acclaimed Keepers series.

Description The Harshman brought his fist down on the arm of the Faithful Throne, and roared to the sleeping people, 'I … Am … Margrave … Now.'

Having escaped the salt mines, Duckling, Pummel, Sooli and Otte return to the Strong-hold to find out who is responsible for raising the murderous Harshman. But with Grafine von Eisen ruling as Regent, all that awaits them is the dungeon and the executioner's axe.

The children must hide in the Strong-hold's stone walls, while Sooli walks the path of death, searching desperately for clues. And when the Harshman arrives, turning friends and allies against each other, time is running out.

With no one on their side but a cat, a ghost, and a chicken who has forgotten her true identity, the children must use all their wits - and all their magic - to defeat the Harshman before he becomes unstoppable.

Piccadilly Books AUSTRALIA DECEMBER 2020 Fearless Fairy Tales Konnie Huq, James Kay and illustrated by Rikin Parekh

Fairy tales vibrantly updated for the 21st century by BBC Blue Peter's Konnie Huq.

Description Fearless Fairy Tales is a hilarious and anarchic collection of classic bedtime stories for young readers, all utterly updated for a new generation.

Meet Trumplestiltskin, a vain and gold-obsessed little man who will stop at nothing to become richer and richer. There's Sleeping Brainy, the princess whose only dream is to become Chancellor of the Exchequer, and the Gingerbread Kid, who escapes persecution in his home country but struggles to fit in in his new one. You won't forget the lingering stench of Mouldysocks - a boy obsessed with staring at his iPad but rather less obsessed with personal hygiene - and you'll be rooting for Rap-Unzel when she gets the chance of fame by appearing on Kingdom's Got Talent . . . but at what cost?

Packed with stories about boys who aren't afraid to cry and rhymes about girls who refuse to kiss frogs, Fearless Fairy Tales shakes up dusty, old-fashioned (and, to be honest, rather sexist) bedtime stories and totally reinvents them for the twenty-first century. From fake news to female footballers, environmental pollution to equal pay, nothing is off limits in this anthology of laugh-out-loud fairy tales with thoroughly modern morals.

Told in the fresh, vibrant and unique voice of Blue Peter favourite Konnie Huq, writing with James Kay, and packed full of irresistible illustrations by Rikin Parekh, Fearless Fairy Tales is the perfect hardback gift for young readers (and older readers fed up with serving their kids the same old boring bedtime stories).

About the Author As the longest-serving female Blue Peter presenter (1997-2008), Konnie Huq is no stranger to the middle-grade market. She is currently an ambassador for the Princes' Trust and the British Asian Trust.

While still studying, she twice won prizes in the Readers Digest Young Illustrator's competition and was runner up for the Mother Goose Award for her first picture book. She spent some of her childhood in exotic locations such as Singapore, Hong Kong and the Middle East and often finds her illustrations being influenced by these places.
