Yes, she had some issues and kind of went bad but when she reappeared in Angel and had that break down in the rain Also, I think the dynamic between Angel and Faith has always been one of my favorites so I was super excited to see that they got their own seasons. However, I probably should have finished reading Buffy season 8 before starting this because major spoilers happened. So I will be going back and finishing that and paying more attention to where things fall in this universe lol The main arc of this story is Angel is trying to atone for something he did at the end of Buffy season 8 - in total Angel fashion. Faith is there trying to bring Angel back and stop him from losing himself completely in this mission. She's also trying to watch out for the new slayers and deal with her own issues, because let's be honest, it's Faith and she has a lot. The story was fun and moved well. The first arc of the duo sees them using Giles diaries as a means to keep up his mission and Angel trying to find means to bring him back. Faith is Angel and Faith: Season Nine Library Edition Volume 2 Live through this Angel and Faith teaming up is the best thing to come out of Buffy season 8. The cover art by Steve Morris are stunning and Rebekah Issacs art is gorgeous. The actors likenesses are there but no drawing ever looks like a sketch but rather Issacs has captured their likenesses near perfect. A sex tape which sees Harmony siring someone is about to be exposed unless a reluctant Angel and Faith can find out who is doing it and put a stop to it. This arc is an excellent read that truly captures the tone of the a Whedonverse show with stellar pacing and enough hooks to keep you reading. The themes of guilt, atonement and acceptance are rife throughout and Christos Gage Angel and Faith: Season Nine Library Edition Volume 2 shows an understanding of these characters with writing that shows this. Angel is offered the chance to accept his past and have it not affect him but rejects this as he made peace with it as a way to feed his need for redemption. Not so much. This series is still perfect. All stellar! And the incorporation of Giles into the plot is so well done and natural. His aunts are also nice additions to the Buffyverse; I love them! A great first installation of a very promising series. This is the most enjoyable Buffyverse comic book I have read, and it almost makes all the frustration of Buffy Season 8 worth it. But there is brilliant characterization, great art and exciting story. Highly recommended. Early Angel and Faith: Season Nine Library Edition Volume 2 episodes with Faith were designed to make you dislike her, but I'm glad that she's given more depth and motivation within the comics realm. Found use of the "R" word once within the collection, and I don't care if it was from a bad guy. There's no reason to keep using it. I know you comic writers can find another way of displaying one-note villainy than perpetuating ableist slurs. It's lazy writing - do better!
