IL-KUNSILL TA’ L-UNJONI EWROPEA,
Wara li kkunsidra t-Trattat li jistabbilixxi l-Komunità Ewropea, u b'mod partikolari l-Artikolu 263 tiegħu,
Wara li kkunsidra l-proposti magħmula mill-gvernijiet ta' l-Istati Membri,

Billi:
(1) L-ewwel paragrafu ta' l-Artikolu 263 tat-Trattat KE, kif emendat bit-Trattat ta' Nizza, jeħtieġ li l-membri jew il-membri supplenti tal-Kumitat tar-Reġjuni, minbarra li jkunu rappreżentanti ta' korpi reġjonali jew lokali, "jew ikollhom mandat elettorali minn awtorità reġjonali jew lokali jew huma politikament responsabbli lejn assemblea eletta".
(2) Billi l-mandat tal-membri u l-membri supplenti tal-Kumitat tar-Reġjuni se jiskadi fil-25 ta' Jannar 2006, il-membri u l-membri supplenti ġodda għandhom jiġu maħtura għall-Kumitat tar-Reġjuni.

– bħala membri supplenti, il-persuni elenkati mill-Istat Membru fl-Anness II;
Artikolu 2
Din id-Deċiżjoni għandha tiġi ppubblikata fil-Ġurnal Uffiċjali ta’ l-Unjoni Ewropea.
Għandu jkollha effett mid-data ta’ l-adozzjoni tagħha.
