The Band Perry Announce We Are Pioneers World Tour EMBARGOED UNTIL 8/16 9AM EASTERN THE BAND PERRY ANNOUNCE WE ARE PIONEERS WORLD TOUR SUPERSTAR SIBLING TRIO SET TO CONQUER THE GLOBE WITH FIRST WORLDWIDE HEADLINE ARENA TOUR NASHVILLE, TN – AUGUST 16 – Award-winning family trio The Band Perry today announced the WE ARE PIONEERS WORLD TOUR, their first worldwide headline arena tour in support of their heralded album, PIONEER. The WE ARE PIONEERS WORLD TOUR will kick off in Gothenburg, Sweden on November 8, 2013 at Tradgarn and crisscross Europe for five weeks before the band jumps back across the Atlantic blazing trails across North America. “We live to play. In our minds everything we do - writing, recording, interviews, appearances - is the means to the live end. To fully and totally understand our band, you have to see us live. It's the three of us in our element, our living room, our therapy session, our recess. We can't wait to bring WE ARE PIONEERS to the world, " says Kimberly Perry. Throughout the WE ARE PIONEERS WORLD TOUR, The Band Perry will debut an entirely new show, including a new set, sound, lights and even a few new tricks. On the run of European dates, various local acts will be in the support slot on the tour, and starting on January 9th Easton Corbin and Lindsay Ell will join The Band Perry on the North American dates for what is sure to be one of the most sought after tickets of the touring season. At the end of a Band Perry show, audiences walk out with smiles on their faces, knowing that the band left nothing to the imagination – the family trio pour every bit of themselves into their shows. See a list of dates below, with more to be added in the coming weeks. No strangers to life on the road, The Band Perry have been on tour approximately 850 of the last 915 days, captivating audiences not only in the United States, but also in Australia, Canada and Europe. This summer alone, The Band Perry shattered attendance records at multiple arenas across North America and have played to over half a million people, no simple feat for a band on just its second album. “Marching forward and making noise together. That's what a Band Perry show is all about. There are these moments that we've built into the show when the three of us and our band are like an army or a marching band. Us, our band, and the crowd – it's like we're a team, and we're all in it together. We are very fortunate that we get to walk on stage and do what we love to do – and it’s our fans that have given us that opportunity. We sincerely appreciate each and every one of them, and we are looking forward to meeting new people across the world and making The Fans Perry a global community,” says Reid Perry. “We believe pioneers are everywhere. Big and small, young and old, on North-American shores and abroad – we are coming to find you!” says Neil Perry. Produced by Dann Huff, PIONEER sold nearly 130,000 copies in the first week and has received acclaim from top critics across the country. They’ve also enjoyed sold-out headlining dates and a showering of honors, including multiple ACM, CMA, and CMT Music awards, as well as Teen Choice, AMA, ACA, Billboard Music Award and Grammy award nominations — all of which has cemented the sibling trio as one of the hottest acts in recent history. They have taken over the American television airwaves with unforgettable performances on the ACM Awards, The Billboard Music Awards, American Idol, Good Morning America, The Today Show, Ellen, The Talk, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman. ABOUT EASTON CORBIN: Mercury Nashville recording artist Easton Corbin is lauded for his traditional country sound, authentic lyrics and mastery of understatement. His self-titled debut album released in 2010 and spawned back-to-back hits “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It;” making him the first country male artist in 17 years to have his first two consecutive singles reach No. 1. That same year the Gilchrist County Florida native won all of the Breakthrough Artist awards at the American Country Awards – Artist of the Year: Breakthrough Artist, Single of the Year: Breakthrough Artist and Music Video: Breakthrough Artist for “A Little More Country Than That.” Billboard named Corbin as the Top New Country Artist of 2010. Easton’s current single, “All Over The Road,” is in the Top 10 on the country airplay charts and is from his current album by the same name. Visit www.eastoncorbin.com or www.umgnashville.com to learn more about the Florida native. ABOUT LINDSAY ELL: Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Lindsay Ell started playing piano at 6, guitar at 8 and singing in her church youth group at 10 ("the most forgiving audience ever"). She was discovered at 13 by fellow Canadian Randy Bachman of BTO and The Guess Who ("American Woman," "Takin' Care Of Business"). "Randy learned guitar from master jazz guitarist Lenny Breau, so I dove head-first into this world of blues, jazz and rock guitar – learning all these different solos, switching radio stations and trying to get an idea of where all those techniques come from. I was listening to Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Clapton, Derek Trucks and all those incredible guitar players.” Lindsay's passion and study served her well, leading to several unique opportunities including an opening slot with blues icon Buddy Guy. Her first songwriting trip to Nashville was the catalyst that brought her early affinity for country full-circle. Because it is rare, she knows her six-string prowess could be overshadowing. "There aren't a lot of girls who play electric lead guitar, and it can be a defining thing," she says. "Any day I don't play guitar is not a good day, but it isn't the only thing. And it's certainly not shtick. First and foremost, I want people to hear me and understand my voice as a country music recording artist. When they come see me, I'd love it if they're impressed at my guitar and piano playing. But by that point, hopefully they understand the artist behind it all has a lot of different sides to her music." Lindsay's debut single from Stoney Creek Records is due this fall.

BOBAFLEX INTERVIEW WITH SHAUN MCCOY 5/21/16 Hartford, CT By: Nina McCarthy, Music Journalist [email protected] A special thank you to my friend Heidi Marion for sitting in on the interview and to Nathan Jones, Tour Manager for his amazing hospitality and Doug Weber at new Ocean Media for making it possible. BRR: You’ve probably had this question a million times, but you and Marty have ancestors back to the famous Hatfield/McCoy feud. Can you enlighten us a little bit on that? Shaun: Our family comes from the Tug River. They migrated from that area, and that’s where it all kind of took place. As far as a family tree, I have a hard time because we are just told and we go to the family reunions but our great grandfather did not have a social security number and he was shot and killed when he was 21 for stealing a horse in the mountains. He wasn’t a guy that had a lot of paperwork. So, we just go on our great aunts and uncles and who they say our other members are. But our little branch of McCoy's went from the Tug after the feud and died down and moved onto a little section of Lincoln County, West Virginia. That’s where our McCoys are from, which is only about two hours from where it all took place. We kind of migrated just a little bit North in West Virginia, but we’re still there. BRR: I read something about that when you go back now, the Hatfields just kill you with drinking? Shaun: We actually meet the Hatfields all over the road and they just try to kill us with bourbon now.

June 1, 2015, Issue 450 Addressing SaladGate Six pages of in-depth reporting on Women In Country and a post-CRS panel write-up in which Keith Hill urged slashing female- voiced songs made nary a ripple outside the business a few months back. But the consultant’s lettuce-and-tomatoes analogy last week in this space touched off a social and, eventually, major media tidal wave. Go figure. We’ll get to Hill in the next story (right), after female PDs and MDs weigh in with their thoughts on a well-known though still confounding reality. In full disclosure, some of the women we contacted declined to contribute for lack of time or lack of what they felt would be helpful feedback. Some passed because they weren’t comfortable publicly commenting in a “no-win argument.” And some came to us asking to be part of the conversation. • Easton Corbin
Easton Corbin All Over The Road Biography “Easton Corbin has one of those rare, glorious voices that was made—just made—for singing country music.” –American Songwriter With two No. 1 singles, multiple awards and nominations, plus performances on some of the biggest stages in the world, Easton Corbin made an auspicious entree with his self-titled debut album. The release of his sophomore effort, All Over the Road, builds on that success and delivers music that confirms that Easton Corbin is here to stay. When Easton broke on the scene in 2009 with not one, but two, No. 1 singles, “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It,” and a Top 15 hit, “I Can’t Love You Back,” the country music world was put on notice. He became the first country male artist in 17 years to have his first two consecutive singles reach No. 1. Billboard named Easton the Top New Country Artist of 2010 and named "Roll With It" the No. 6 Hot Country Song of the Year. He was ranked No. 9 on Billboard’s list of Top Country Artists-Male, listed between Blake Shelton and Tim McGraw. With three American Country Awards in 2010 and blockbuster tours with Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton, Easton set the bar high for his sophomore release. Not surprisingly, the hard-working Gilchrist County, Florida native—“Everybody knows everybody,” he says—delivers in spades. The new collection—like the first, produced by top Nashville producer Carson Chamberlain (Billy Currington)—finds Easton improving upon his impressive debut.
