Zara Larsson, Tove Lo Och Justin Bieber Kan Bli Barnens Favorit På Världens Största Slimefest Zara Larsson, Tove Lo och Justin Bieber kan bli barnens favorit på världens största slimefest Idag offentliggörs nomineringarna till världens största slime-fest, Nickelodeons Kids Choice Awards. Tillsammans med tungviktare som Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift och hjärtekrossarna One Direction är även de svenska stjärnorna Zara Larsson, Tove Lo, Albin och Danny Saucedo nominerade i kategorin Sveriges favoritstjärna. Även sociala medie-profilerna Bea, IJustWantToBeCool, Manfred Erlandsson och Misslissibell har chans att vinna pris - som Sveriges favoritbloggare. Artisterna Zara Larsson och Tove Lo är några av de svenska nominerade i Nickelodeons internationella prisutdelning Kids Choice Awards. Galan hålls i Los Angeles den 12 mars och lockar till sig världsstjärnor som David Beckham och Justin Bieber. Även i år kan svenska barn vara med och avgöra vilka stjärnor som ska ta hem de prestigefyllda priserna genom att rösta fram sina favoriter. Svenska stjärnor nominerade Nominerade till Sveriges favoritstjärna är Zara Larsson, Tove Lo, Albin och Danny Saucedo. Förutom de svenska artisterna så kan även några av de mest populära bloggarna vinna pris i kategorin Sveriges favoritbloggare. Nominerade är YouTube-profilerna Bea, IJustWantToBeCool, Manfred Erlandsson och Mislissibell. Världsstjärnor blir överösta med slime Kids Choice Awards hölls för första gången 1988 och har prisat några av världens största internationella stjärnor. De senaste åren har bland annat Nick Jonas från bandet Jonas Brothers, Pharell Williams, Angelina Jolie och Emma Stone tilldelats det prestigefyllda priset. Nickelodeon och Kids Choice Awards signum är traditionen att ”slima” vinnare – det vill säga hälla grönt slime över galans gäster. Under åren har världsnamn som David Beckham, Will Smith och Justin Bieber alla blivit ”slimade”, till publiken och tittarnas förtjusning. Svensk programledare I år är den populära YouTube-profilen och trollkarlen Hampus Hedström svensk värd och kommer att navigera tittarna under galakvällen. Hampus är svensk juniormästare i komisk magi och ett YouTube-fenomen med nära 100 000 följare. Barnen väljer vinnare Kids Choice Awards är barnens gala och det är de unga fansen som röstar fram sina favoriter. Vem av de svenska artisterna och bloggarna som vinner de eftertraktade statyetterna avgörs genom omröstning på kca.nickelodeon.se samt på Twitter genom att använda hashtaggen KCA följt av artistens namn. Totalt är det 24 kategorier, varav Bästa samarbete och Bästa matlagningsprogram är nya för i år. Modern Family och Big Bang Theory är de TV-program som har fått flest nomineringar, fyra var. Årets värd är countrysångaren Blake Shelton. Kids Choice Awards sänds den 14 mars kl. 17.00 på Nickelodeon. Galan hålls på inomhusarenan The Forum i Inglewood, Kalifornien, Los Angeles. Over the course of one year and with the use of a video camera, I recorded, observed, hung out and watched television with the girls in the informal setting of a friend’s house. I found that friendship informs and filters understandings and use of tween television in daily conversations with friends. Using Erving Goffman’s theory of facework as a starting point, I introduce a new theoretical framework called friendship work to locate, examine, and understand how friendship is enacted on a granular level. Friendship work considers how an individual positions herself for her own needs before acknowledging the needs of her friends, and is concerned with both emotive effort and social impact. Through group television viewings, participation in television themed games, and the creation of webisodes, the girls strengthen, maintain, and diminish previously established bonds.

Reese Spring 2021 WMNST 492W: Senior Capstone Seminar Dr. Jill Wood Reese 2 INTRODUCTION The popularized phrase “celebrity trainwreck” has taken off in the last ten years, and the phrase actively evokes specified images (Doyle, 2017). These images usually depict young women hounded by paparazzi cameras that are most likely drunk or high and half naked after a wild night of partying (Doyle, 2017). These girls then become the emblem of celebrity, bad girl femininity (Doyle, 2017; Kiefer, 2016). The trainwreck is always a woman and is usually subject to extra attention in the limelight (Doyle, 2017). Trainwrecks are in demand; almost everything they do becomes front page news, especially if their actions are seen as scandalous, defamatory, or insane. The exponential growth of the internet in the early 2000s created new avenues of interest in celebrity life, including that of social media, gossip blogs, online tabloids, and collections of paparazzi snapshots (Hamad & Taylor, 2015; Mercer, 2013). What resulted was 24/7 media access into the trainwreck’s life and their long line of outrageous, commiserable actions (Doyle, 2017). Kristy Fairclough coined the term trainwreck in 2008 as a way to describe young, wild female celebrities who exemplify the ‘good girl gone bad’ image (Fairclough, 2008; Goodin-Smith, 2014). While the coining of the term is rather recent, the trainwreck image itself is not; in their book titled Trainwreck, Jude Ellison Doyle postulates that the trainwreck classification dates back to feminism’s first wave with Mary Wollstonecraft (Anand, 2018; Doyle, 2017).
