The Queens Borough President Melinda Katz invites you to her“School Budget Overview Workshop” on March 11, 2019 from 10AM to 12pm at Queens Borough Hall located at 120-55 Queens Blvd in Room 213.

This workshop is designed to provide participants with a greater understanding of key school budget concepts. We will review how to manage and optimize available resources in a school’s budget in alignment with the Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP) and how to manage unforeseen budget issues. Important information and tips will be shared that you will not want to miss! There will be a Q and A after the presentation. Light breakfast will be available.

Guest speakers will include: Queens Borough President Melinda Katz, Paola Lotito – Budget Director – Department of Education Field Support Center Brenda Trejo – Budget Director –Department of Education Queens North Field Support Center Naomi Ferguson McFarlane – Budget Director - Department of Education Queens South Field Support Center

Other Guests: Karen Moser – Director of Finance – Queens North Field Support Center Angela Brown – Director of Finance and Human Resources - NYC Department of Education Queens South Field Support Center

Information packets will be distributed to all attendees. Please share this information with your school parents. The workshop will be repeated at the Queens Borough President’s Parent Advisory Board meeting on March 12th from 6pm to 8pm also at Queens Borough Hall in room 200. Guest Speakers on March 12th at 6pm will be: Angela Brown who is the Director of Finance and Human Resources for the Department of Education Queens South Field Support Center & Ina Werbelow - Budget Director Queens South Field Support Center.
