ORGANOGRAM

PURPOSE The main purpose of this position is to work as a Research Nurse on an Wellcome Trust funded HIV and trauma research project being conducted at the University of , South Africa. The research nurse will be responsible for recruiting participants at and Hospital, Cape Town, participant enrollment, obtaining informed consent, completing study procedures, collecting study samples, phlebotomy, data collection and data entry. The research nurse will organize follow-up appointments and be generally involved in all aspects of the study, adhering to study protocols and GCP. The nurse will initially work of and a second study site (Tygerberg Hospital) will commence recruitment 2 months following the start of recruitment at Groote Schuur. The appointed Research Nurse will then be based at Tygerberg Hospital and work closely with the Research Nurse based at Groote Schuur Hospital and will cross cover this recruitment site for holiday and sick leave. The Research Nurse will be supervised by the Study Coordinator and Principal Investigators.
