I write in response to your request for information in relation to Covid-19 within NHS Lothian.

Question: 1. How many hospitals in scotland are owned or run by the NHS and how many are working (now this date)

Question: 2. From first oct 2020 until current date how many hospitals are "over flowing with covid 19 patients.

Answer: Hospitals within NHS Lothian are not over flowing with Covid-19 patients.

Question: 3. From oct 2020 till current date what percent of each hospital has covid 19 patients and their number

Answer: Covid-19 patients have been treated at are three main hospital sites.

Question: 4. How many deaths in scotland from oct 2020 till now how many died of ACTUAL covid deaths and NOT COVID RELATED deaths (as these figures are pie in the sky for many reasons)

Question: 5. How many of these people were over 65 and under 18 and How many of these people were 18 to 65 same dates

Question: 6. How many that died positively from covid had underlying health problems

Question: 7. How many ventilators does scotland have? And what percentage of these ventilators are being used right now this date

Answer: We cannot answer for NHS Scotland. NHS Lothian had 79 ventilators before the pandemic (18 of these were units that had recently been replaced, but were still on site and fit to be returned to clinical use) and received an additional 35 ventilators from NHS National Services Scotland and the Department of Health.

Question: 8. How many hospitals/ buildings were built annexed aquired etc for covid and how many are used now this date

Answer: None.

Question: 9. Since march 2020 has any hospital EVER been overwhelmed by covid patients

Answer: NHS Lothian has appropriately managed all Covid-19 patients.

Question: 10. In your figures to the government on carona /covid 19 do you roll all carona viruses into one for your totals or is it strictly covid 19 (flu common cold and other carona viruses)

Answer: As provided above, figures are reported by Public Health Scotland and National Records for Scotland.

Question: 11. To your knowledge has scotland isolated the virus yet

Answer: I do not understand what you mean by “isolated” and I can only answer for NHS Lothian, not for Scotland as a whole. Covid-19 is a pandemic, work is being carried out nationally and international.

Question: 12. How many new staff did you specifically recruit for covid (not cleaners etc.) But doctors and nurses in scotland

Answer: We cannot answer for the NHS in Scotland. Within NHS Lothian staff were not recruited specifically in relation to covid-19.

Question: 13. To your knowledge has the government ever asked you to be contrary or to be blatent lie with death figures

Answer: No, figures are reported by Public Health Scotland and National Records for Scotland.

Question: 14. Of all the Actual covid deaths (not related covid deaths) in scotland what percentage of hospital space did the use oct 2020 to current date.

Answer: This information is not recorded in a centrally extractable format.

Question: 15. How many actual covid patients at this date are in ICU beds

Answer: Lothian today there are 10 Covid patients in the 3 ICUs.

Question: 16. How many ICU beds (all medical problems) are in use

Answer: Normal capacity across all sites Total 55 beds.

Question: 17. 2018 and 2019 how many people died of normal flu in scotland

Answer: Figures are reported by Public Health Scotland and National Records for Scotland.

Question: 18. Their are so many questions but i think you get the general theme, figures for each hospital that can handle covid cases not plain old carona viruses

Answer: There is no specific question here. Figures are reported by Public Health Scotland and National Records for Scotland.

Question: 19. In 2017 2018 2019 how many people died of all causes in scotlands hospitals and to date how many people have died in 2020

Answer: Figures are reported by Public Health Scotland and National Records for Scotland.
