CAA Tournament Tie-Breaking Procedures: 1. Two Teams a. Head-to-head competition b. If team split, compare each team’s record against the team occupying the highest position in the standings and continue down until one team gains the advantage. When comparing against a single team or group of teams, the higher winning percentage shall prevail, even if the number of games is unequal, i.e., 1-0 (.1.000) is better than 1-1 (.500); 1-0 is the same as 2-0 (1.000). c. Should a tie still exist after all those above steps are taken, the Ratings Percentage Index, as computed from the RPI Re port will be used and the highest-ranking team would win the tie.

2. Three Teams a. Head-to-head competition as determined by the combined record. Ties will be broken on the basis of winning percentage (i.e., 2-1 (.500) is the same as 4-2 (.500), 2-0 is the same as 3-0 (1.000). b. If step 2a fails to break the tie, then each team’s record shall be compared to the team occupying the highest position in the standings. 172 George Mason George Georgia State Hofstra James Madison Wilmington UNC Northeastern Old Dominion Towson Virginia Commonwealth & Mary William Delaware Drexel Delaware (Newark, Del.) - 44 117 742 158 228 481 349 297 57 210 257
