In the wake of Antoine Boyer on Wednesday, please welcome Andréas Varady. This young Romany guitarist was born in Slovakia in 1997, and has been residing in Ireland for three years now. He recorded his first disc at the age of 13, with David Lyttle, Bandy Varady (his father) and Michael Janisch. While Andreas pays his dues to Django, he is likely to reveal more of his taste for American grand masters such as George Benson and Pat Martino rather than for gipsy jazz. This evening’s quartet performance is set to give us a preview of a great career to come.
