Friday, July 23 Vancouver, Disembark at 7:00 am Monday, July 12 Our adventure begins with a flight bound for Anchorage, AK. Upon arrival we will be met by a knowledgeable driver/guide who will take us to the Hilton Hotel where we will check in for one night. From your room, enjoy beautiful views of neighboring Cook , the Chugach Mountains or the Anchorage cityscape.

Tuesday, July 13 (Dinner) We begin our day with a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Here we will learn about the rich heritage of Alaska’s 11 major cultural groups through engaging storytelling, authentic native songs and dance, artist demonstrations and more. Following our visit, there will be time to explore downtown Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city, with its many shops, museums and restaurants.

This afternoon we’ll travel southward on the stunning Seward Highway. It has been called one of the most scenic highways in the U.S. and has been designated a National Forest Scenic Byway. We’ll follow the north shore of the Turnagain Arm into Girdwood where we will check into the fabulous Alyeska Resort for one night. This $200 million dollar chateau-style hotel, nestled at the base of Mount Alyeska, has been named the best hotel in Alaska. This evening we will take a tram ride up the mountain for dinner at the elegant Seven Glaciers Restaurant as we enjoy breathtaking views of the Turnagain Arm, the endless peaks of the Chugach Mountain range and seven “hanging” glaciers.

Wednesday, July 14 (Breakfast, Lunch) After a delicious breakfast at the resort, we’ll make our way to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a facility dedicated to the preservation of Alaska’s wildlife. Here we will see bears, moose, elk, bison, caribou, deer and more! Then we depart for the Kenai Riverside Lodge at Cooper Landing, where we will enjoy a traditionalsalmon bake followed by a scenic float trip along the aqua-tinted Kenai River. Watch for wildlife as our guide navigates us through the Chugach National Forest and the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. Our guide will share stories about the wildlife, native inhabitants, gold miners, early settlers and the forces of nature that shaped the Kenai River Valley. Our southward journey continues along the picturesque Kenai Peninsula to Seward where we’ll check into the Windsong Lodge for a two-night stay. Nestled beneath spreading spruce, this resort offers views of the Chugach Mountains and the peaceful sound of the rushing Resurrection River, the perfect place to relax after a busy day. The evening is free to explore and relax.

Thursday, July 15 (Breakfast, Lunch) Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we depart for the Alaska Sea Life Center for a self-guided tour of this cold-water research facility. Next we will enjoy a 5-hour Kenai Wildlife Cruise that explores the calm, protected waters and rugged coastline of Resurrection Bay. You will experience up-close encounters with wildlife as the ship is guided along massive bird rookeries and sea lion colonies, stopping along the route to view passing whales and otters. You will see alpine glaciers tucked in the surrounding Chugach and Kenai Mountain Ranges and cruise by Bear Glacier, a piedmont glacier and the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park. A knowledgeable naturalist will be onboard to narrate your cruise. A deli lunch is included.

Friday, July 16 (Breakfast, Beginning with lunch all meals are included on the ship) Have breakfast at the lodge before we check out and head for the Seavey “Ididaride” Complex. Members of the Seavey family won the 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 Iditarod races! Here, we’ll be treated to a wilderness dogsled ride! Feel the raw power, enthusiasm and energy of 13 amazing Iditarod sled dogs as they pull your comfortable wheeled sled along a two-mile trek through the Alaskan wilderness to the base of Resurrection Mountain and along Box Canyon Creek. Afterward, your Iditarod veteran guide will tell you exciting stories about their Iditarod experiences and take you on a tour of their facilities. The last stop will be at the Seavey’s kennel area where you’ll be able to cuddle adorable puppies.

Late morning we’ll board Celebrity Cruises’ beautifulMillennium for a 7-night cruise. Get settled in your stateroom on this fabulous ship, which shines with a modern luxury makeover, and then enjoy lunch on board before we sail away! The ship sets sail at 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, July 17 Arrive 2:00 PM Depart 6:00 PM Hubbard Glacier is one of Alaska’s most exciting natural treasures! The towering glacier is about 7-miles wide, 76-miles long and as tall as a 30-story building above the waterline. It’s the largest river of ice in North America. The strong currents cause calving to occur on a daily basis. An onboard naturalist provides narration and watches for the whales, harbor seals, and otters that hunt and play in the waters. Sunday, July 18 Arrive 9:00 AM Depart 9:00 PM The capital city is nestled in the Alaskan panhandle with no connecting roads to other cities- it’s only accessible by water and air. Juneau features more hiking trails than roads, making it the perfect place for adventurers and nature-lovers. Take a helicopter ride above the historic, bustling downtown and land on the Juneau Icefield.

Wednesday, July 21 Arrive 9:00 AM Depart 6:00 PM Ketchikan is the ideal vision of an Alaskan town, perfect for a peaceful kayak ride through the Misty Fjords, an adventurous hike or perusing the adorable galleries and shops. It is home to the world’s largest collection of Northwest totem poles, each with its own recorded version of history through the use of visual art and carvings.

Thursday, July 22 Alaska’s Inside Passage boasts wildlife-filled fjords and lush island scenery. It is home to bald eagles, sea lions, porpoises and whales. Its mountains are carpeted with majestic forests.
