SBS Group Completes First Overseas, Group-owned Logistics Facility in -Location to provide Japanese-quality logistics services as an advance base for the Group’s overseas strategy-

The SBS Group has just completed Phase 1 of the construction of its first overseas, SBS Group–owned logistics facility. Construction had begun in December 2013 on the outskirts of , Thailand’s largest international port. On June 17, an opening ceremony was held at the new No. 1 Warehouse, with representatives of numerous Japanese-affiliated and Thai companies and other guests invited.

The facility was developed by TAS Logistics Co., Ltd., a joint-venture facility-development company established by the SBS Group and its partner company in Thailand, Trans Air Cargo Co., Ltd. In Phase 1, TAS Logistics completed No. 1 Warehouse (around 10,000sqm of floor space) and an office building (11 offices and a cafeteria terrace).

No. 1 Warehouse will begin operations in mid-July, and a number of Japanese-affiliated companies have already decided to make use of it. A further two buildings, No. 2 Warehouse and a dormitory, are slated for completion in late August. Further ahead, plans for No. 3 Warehouse are in the works, with completion targeted for fall 2015. When completed, the entire facility will comprise some 30,000sqm of logistics space.

Chonburi Province in central Thailand is home to a growing concentration of Japanese-affiliated companies, including companies active in the production of automobiles, office-automation equipment and various parts and components. With No. 1 Warehouse complete, and further expansion in the offing, the SBS Group looks forward to providing customers in the region with Japanese-quality logistics services, and is moving steadily forward with its overseas strategy.
