The Senate confirmed the nominations of Victor Mercado to be Assistant Secretary of Defense, Brian Miller to be Special Inspector General for Pandemic Recovery, and James Anderson to be Deputy Under Secretary of Defense, as well as several judicial nominations. House – The House met in pro forma session. Next Week In Congress Senate – The Senate is expected to consider H.R. 1957, which is the legislative vehicle for the Great American Outdoors Act (S. 3422). The Senate may continue its consideration of pending nominations. House – The House will be in recess but will meet in pro forma session.
