We expend a great deal of effort and expense into our delivery system so that we can deliver frozen, refrigerated and dry products to most of our customers twice per week. We also take pride in the fact that our route salesmen (drivers) do much more than just leave the product at your back door. We put your frozen & dry products where you want them and we rotate your mix as we put it away. Some of our competitors send a sales person out every week to write your orders. This can be a waste of your time and the sales person’s. Instead, we want our account managers to be available to help you when you need it, such as when you have a problem or issue that needs immediate attention. We’ve developed our entire system around our dedication to service, and it works as follows: 1) INSIDE SALES STAFF: Our customer service department is always ready to serve you by taking your order or answering questions that you may have. For instructions on how to place an order, please refer to Pg. 02. 2) ROUTE SALESMAN: Your delivery driver is much more than a driver, he is actually your route salesman. He can answer many of your questions and take care of many of your concerns. 3) ACCOUNT MANAGER: Your account manager will be in to see you periodically and is always available to meet with you at your request. They are also always available to answer your questions or concerns. Please feel free to call your account manager at any time. If you are unsure of your delivery days, please call our office. We offer NEXT DAY SERVICE for orders received by the order deadline on the day before your scheduled delivery. EMERGENCY ORDERS: We realize that sometimes an emergency arises when you need a special order delivered. We do have this capability and can accommodate you in most instances. However, due to the substantial increases in distribution costs, A DELIVERY CHARGE OF $450 WILL BE ADDED FOR ALL SATURDAY SPECIAL DELIVERIES. You can also come to our warehouse in Hudsonville and pick up an emergency order to avoid the delivery charge. We will be open for pick-ups from 8:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturdays (May – August). If you would like to pick up an order outside of these hours, please call our weekend emergency number (616.862.3291) to make these arrangements and please give us as much lead time as possible for all emergency orders. (No special deliveries will be scheduled from 6:00 pm Saturday through 8:00 am Monday, but again, orders can be picked up at our warehouse throughout the weekend.) PLACING ORDERS We have a dedicated, experienced inside sales staff to take your orders, which you can submit by one of the methods below. Please use your customer number and our product numbers when ordering. We can provide you with a customized order/inventory guide to assist you. ORDER DEADLINE: All phone, fax, online or email orders must be placed by 2:00 PM the day before your scheduled delivery in order to get next day service. However, to assist us please place your order as early in the day as possible. Note that no orders will be processed for next day delivery after 2:00 PM. RETURNS: Due to health and safety concerns, returns cannot be allowed. Note that this includes “end of season” returns as well.     Chocolate Fudge with Chocolate Chip Topping www.RoamingRosie.com Ingredients: 1 cup whole milk 1 cup heavy whipping cream 3 cups sugar 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 cup milk chocolate chips Prepare an 8x8-inch baking dish with foil and a light coating of butter or cooking spray. Whisk together the milk, cream, sugar, cocoa, and butter in a large saucepan. Bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer it without stirring. This is important: do NOT stir the mixture! After 15 minutes, test the temperature with a thermometer. Once it reaches 235°F or soft ball stage, remove from heat. Do NOT stop simmering until it reaches this temperature, or it will not set. This may take a few more minutes. It will be noticeably thicker at this point, but still slightly runny. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Fill a large bowl with ice and place the saucepan into the bowl on top of the ice. Stir the fudge for a few minutes until it is very thick. Then (making sure not to let any of the melted ice get into your fudge) pour it into the prepared baking dish, spreading it smooth. Immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top. Spread them evenly, covering the entire surface, and gently press them down to make sure they adhere to the top of the fudge. Place baking dish on a wire rack and allow to completely set. This may take a half hour or a little longer, depending on the temperature and humidity of your home.
