PRE-MATCH REPORT WALES vs ITALY GUINNESS SIX NATIONS 2020 HEAD TO HEAD - Wales have claimed victory in 17 of the 20 meetings between the sides in the Guinness Six Nations, with the Italians’ last win over the Welsh coming back in March 2007. - Despite claiming two wins over Wales in the Guinness Six Nations, the Italians have never scored more tries than them in a game in the competition. However, they have equalled their try tally on six occasions - including their last meeting in the tournament. - In Wales’ home games in the Six Nations against Italy, they have outscored Gli Azzurri 385-128, including scoring 105 points in their last two games in Cardiff against the Italians. - There hasn’t been a game decided by a converted try or less between the sides in the Guinness Six Nations since the 20-15 Wales victory in Rome back in March 2009. - The sides have met in the opening round of the Six Nations on three occasions, with Italy claiming victory back in 2003 before a pair of Welsh wins in 2014 (23-15) and 2017 (33-7).
