Another senior participant claims, “since I have such bad back and arthritis problems, if it weren’t for the fact that I make the effort to get out of bed every day, get dressed and come to the program with my sister-in-law who drives us here, I don’t think I’d still be walking.”

One of the main goals of the Seniors Programs is to encourage participants to maintain healthy and active lives. In order to do this, Parks offers a variety in our parks. Among the events that Summit/Vista of exercise and fitness programs, including tai chi, has sponsored are the: Senior Olympics, Older yoga, low impact aerobics, water exercise, and Americans Month Banquet and Dance, the Senior walking clubs. Parks has also established Health and Fitness Fair, and countless special partnerships with organizations whose missions celebrations such as the St. Valentine’s Day Dance support the goals of Park’s Seniors Programs. and other holiday events.
