R.C.I.A.R.C.I.A. QQ && AA What happens during a RCIA session? In the Pre-Catechumenate period, we answer the inquir- er’s questions about God and His church. We tell sto- ries of faith, about Jesus Christ in scripture and our own stories of how God has worked in our lives. In the Catechumenate period, we worship with the community at mass and are dismissed after the homily to feast more on the Word of God. We have an extend- ed session where we learn about the teachings of Christ and His church. We may join a community event in the parish or experience various forms of prayer. We learn to serve others and share the Good News. In Mystagogy, we reflect on the rites and how they con- nect with our everyday lives as we live a Catholic way of life.

TWENTY-FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

O God, who founded all the commands of your sacred Law upon love of you and of our neighbor, grant that, by keeping your precepts, we may merit to attain eternal life.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

“Thus says the LORD: Say to those whose hearts are frightened: Be strong, fear not!.” 35:4
