III. Assessment of Needs by Sector

1. Infrastructure Damage to infrastructure includes collapsed or washed out bridge approaches, cut off road ways, road slips and road slides. Seventeen (17) road sections are still impassable to all types of vehicles: 3 in Region IV-B, 11 in Region VI and 3 in Region VIII The estimated cost of damage to infrastructures in Regions IV-A, IV- B, VI, VIII and X is P2,306.55 Million.

2. Shelter and Food The DSWD as the cluster lead of food and shelter clusters listed below the priority areas for funding assistance by IASC

Education 1,146 school buildings damaged in Regions I, III, IV-A, IV-B, V, VI, VIII, ARMM and NCR estimated at P543,105,520.00 o Around 138 school buildings have been used as evacuation centers of 3,148 families o 135 learning centers in 13 DCCs; 114 schools and 8 Madrasahs used as evacuation centers o Around 61,456 school children and 1,451 teachers were affected in ARMM o Priority needs of children - replacement of damaged school supplies and books

IV. Actions Taken and Resources Mobilized by Agencies

o NDCC–OPCEN coordinated and facilitated immediate transport to Iloilo and Aklan provinces of rice, equipment, rubber boats, cadaver bags, food and non food items.

o NDCC through RDCCs/PDCCs facilitated the release of 17,210 sacks of rice assistance

o Establishment of RP-US PAGBINULIGAY Coordinating Center with AFP, PNP, OCD and US Forces for the transport, receive and distribution of relief goods

o DSWD transported 1,100 family food packages to Romblon through M35 truck on 29 June

4 o DOH provided 1,440 bottles of drinking water, disinfectant, 5 jars of chlorine granules @ 3 kilos per jar, 10 bags of lime and 200 cadaver bags

LGUs o The following areas had been declared under a State of Calamity by their respective Sanggunians:

10 Provinces - , Antique, Iloilo, Aklan, Capiz, , Sultan Kudarat, North Cotabato, Marinduque and Romblon

DepEd o DepEd Engineering Task Forces in various regions are still conducting actual assessment o Local government, officials and Parent Teacher Community Associations are now engaged in clearing and repair of minor damages of school buildings and facilities o Coordinated the following assistance as of this report: - Save the Children 15,000 US $ for emergency/relief assistance for Iloilo and Antique - UNICEF - 2,000 school packs, 500 teachers packs, 5 tents(72 sq meters for 2 classrooms ) and school library sets - Plan Phil is still conducting field assessment in Island - ABS-CBN Foundation is still conducting field assessment and relief operations in Panay and call for donation and appeal is ongoing DOH o Deployed technical experts such as : epidemiologists, psychologists, doctors, nurses and rapid health assessment , WASH and medical team distributed in the CHD VI and the four provinces of Panay Island o Rapid Health Assessment - WASH and Medical Teams were deployed to Iloilo and Aklan o Extended immediate assistance and augmented medical supplies, drugs and compact foods o Deployed personnel from RESU 6 & 7 with National Epidemiology Center to conduct disease surveillance revealed cough, fever, dermatitis, conjunctivitis, diarrhea & injuries
