He has worked at Concalco, Proctor and Gamble instrument technician, and is an electrician. He served in the US Army in Vietnam, 1969- 70. He has a son William and daughter-in-law Sally, and a daughter Melissa and son-in- law Scott and grandson Gavin (6). Kenny and Reba were high school sweethearts and got back together again on Facebook. They married in 2014. They love their river place and Florida condo. He retired after a career in IT at Anheuser-Busch. She retired from Gibson County Schools as a middle school math teacher and is currently teaching adult education through Tennessee College of Applied Technology—a total of 31 years in education. He worked 15 years in the newspaper business and 33 years in the financial services industries as a stockbroker. He spent 22 years as a trustee (13 years as chairman) of Pulaski Technical College. Larry Barnett—Deceased Jerry Barnette 517 Maplegrove Dr., Franklin, TN 37064-5125 [email protected], 615-495-7955 Jerry has one son, Jeffrey and daughter-in-law Barbara, a grandson William (2), and a granddaughter on the way! He enjoys volunteering, working on reunions, video producer, and producer at Church of the City. Jerry attended University of Tennessee at Knoxville, BSEE in Electrical Engineering. His work history includes City of Jackson Planning Dept (1966), Jackson Electric Department (1967-1970) Cooperative Engineering Scholarship Engineer, Chattanooga Electric Power Board (1971-1974) Customer Engineer, Staff Engineer for Lawson Electrical Contractors- Chattanooga 1974-1977, TVA (1977-2009) 31 years in Knoxville, Chattanooga and Nashville (senior manager). After retirement he was a part- time TVA charity fundraiser for the Combined Federal campaign 2009-2010 for Middle Tennessee. Currently he is one of many volunteer staff at Church of the City Franklin. One of Jerry’s positions at TVA took him to exotic places like the central Philippines (Tacloban) to teach an engineering seminar at a local University. Another position allowed him to travel to satellite offices in Toronto, Tokyo, Paris, and London. He’s been to Israel and Greece once on a pilgrimage with a group. Most of his world travels have been to work rather than vacation. He has been a wedding videographer/photographer and co-owned a company with his brother in law while living in East TN (Oak Ridge Video Group). He still produces dozens of videos for clients and church events, high school reunions, and charities. He produces many of the videos for the JHS All Class annual reunion events. He maintains the websites for both the Class of 1966 and the All Class reunion. He is an avid photographer and studies cameras, lenses, and software as a hobby business. He currently operates an archivisual business in Franklin, designing and rendering 3D versions of floor plans and landscapes for his clients so they can visualize changes, and additions to their properties (barns, kitchens, decks, landscapes, fences, cabinetry, etc). He designed and remodeled his entire home over the last 7 years. ~ 4 ~ Jerry was a part-time music director for adults and children at churches in several Tennessee locations when he was much younger, and was an assistant organist in Chattanooga; was part of a recording gospel quartet in the days of old vinyl albums. He was recipient of an “Outstanding Young Men of America” award. He is a keyboardist and uses those skills to orchestrate music for sound and video productions at his Franklin studio. He is producer for the “Chapel Praise” services at the Church of the City in Franklin, TN. He has also written and published a book on his grandfather’s life that is available in many Tennessee libraries including Jackson. Larry E. Sandra has two sons and six grandchildren. His work history includes WDXI Radio-TV WBBJ-TV, Jackson TN, WATO Radio Oak Ridge TN, Union Carbide Nuclear Division Y-12 PLANT, Oak Ridge TN, Assoc. Pastor, Lenoir City, TN and Memphis TN, Instruments Associates, Memphis TN, Engineer for Design Team for Motorola Products, and Gospel Music Ministry, Branson MO. Larry and Sandra are both songwriters and singers. While at WDXI Radio in Jackson, he worked with “Cousin Tuny” (Doris Freeman). Larry has been an On-Air radio personality and “voice-over” voice for commercials and various projects. He has also been a TV producer. Larry also builds new guitars and repairs others for artists and for resale. He and Sandra record in their own studio using some equipment they he has either built or modified. He repairs and rebuilds equipment for the entertainment industry in Branson. Their grandson is currently serving in Afghanistan. Mollye retired from Federated Department Stores (Goldsmiths/Macys) after serving as executive team—merchandise manager. Erica has three children, Oliver (11), Alice (9) and Milo (3). She also has two stepsons and six step grandchildren. She started out as an instructional aide at an elementary school in Madison, TN. When her children came along, she had work that allowed her the opportunity to do what was needed with them—programs at school, sports, band, stay at home with a sick child, etc. She retired after 20 years with the USPS. Since retirement, she is living in Kentucky in their weekend/retirement home. She has several projects—putting many, many photos in order for her family, getting back into art (for pleasure), expanding her gardening, fishing and kayaking. She lives very near Kentucky Dam and there are lots of opportunities for water fun. John has 8 grandchildren from his two daughters, Rebecca (Becky) and Jennifer, who were both born in Tennessee. They and their husbands are all graduates of University of Oklahoma, so there were tense moments over the last couple of years when they played TENNESSEE! His oldest grandson is 15 and oldest granddaughter is 12. ~ 6 ~ His youngest grandchild (who was born prematurely at 14 oz and is today a smiling, wonderful 1 ½ year old) was called by name on the floor of the US Senate by the Senator from Oklahoma during the battle to defund Planned Parenthood. John considers himself beyond blessed by the family the LORD has given him.
