⏲ 01 May 2013, 02:15 (CDT) Citation Returns to Kentucky Derby Cessna will honor the namesake of their line of Citation business jets by supporting customers flying into Louisville, Ky., for this weekend's Kentucky Derby. With more than 600 general aviation flights expected to arrive in the Louisville area this coming weekend, Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, will welcome pilots and guests with on-site "thoroughbred-inspired" Citation aircraft and service solutions. Cessna's line of business jets is named after famed thoroughbred "Citation." In 1948, Citation won the Kentucky Derby, finishing ahead of the nearest competitor by three and a half lengths at Churchill Downs. Citation went on to win the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes to win the Triple Crown in 1948. Citation was well known for the ease with which he handled, with no complications or handling difficulties. Today Cessna's Citation line of products remains well-known for performance and ease of operation. In celebration of this heritage of leadership, Cessna will have aircraft on display at Atlantic Aviation, the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) for general aviation at Louisville International Airport. The jet lineup will include the Citation XLS+ and the Citation CJ3. The company will also make a mock up of the new Citation Latitude business jet available for customers and the public on a reservation basis. Service is also a key component to Citation operation, and the company will showcase service capabilities by positioning a Mobile Service Unit at the airport. Cessna's Mobile Service Units are capable of providing service for Citation aircraft in remote locations, up to and including engine replacement. The much-anticipated Citation Latitude features a maximum range of 2,500 nautical miles (4,630 kilometers), has been described as having the most open and refined cabin environment in this category of aircraft. The Latitude will accommodate a crew of two plus up to eight passengers, will have a maximum altitude of 45,000 feet (13,716 meters) and a maximum cruise speed of 440 knots (815 kilometers per hour). It will climb to 43,000 feet (13,106 meters) in just 23 minutes. The Citation Latitude mock up will be open from Thursday, May 2 to Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily. YAHWEH vERsus BAALISM A THEOLOGICAL READING OF THE GIDEON-ABIMELECH NARRATIVE WOLFGANG BLUEDORN A thesis submitted to Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher Education in accordance with the requirements of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities April 1999 ABSTRACT This study attemptsto describethe contribution of the Abimelech narrative for the theologyof Judges.It is claimedthat the Gideonnarrative and the Abimelechnarrative need to be viewed as one narrative that focuseson the demonstrationof YHWH'S superiority over Baalism, and that the deliverance from the Midianites in the Gideon narrative, Abimelech's kingship, and the theme of retribution in the Abimelech narrative serve as the tangible matter by which the abstracttheological theme becomesnarratable. The introduction to the Gideon narrative, which focuses on Israel's idolatry in a previously unparalleled way in Judges,anticipates a theological narrative to demonstrate that YHWH is god. YHwH's prophet defines the general theological background and theme for the narrative by accusing Israel of having abandonedYHwH despite his deeds in their history and having worshipped foreign gods instead. YHWH calls Gideon to demolish the idolatrous objects of Baalism in response, so that Baalism becomes an example of any idolatrous cult. Joash as the representativeof Baalism specifies the defined theme by proposing that whichever god demonstrateshis divine power shall be recognised as god. The following episodesof the battle against the Midianites contrast Gideon's inadequateresources with his selfish attempt to be honoured for the victory, assignthe victory to YHWH,who remains in control and who thus demonstrateshis divine power, and show that Baal is not presentin the narrative.

July 16, 2010 Seabiscuit races again at Remington Carriage Museum Life size bronze of famous racehorse and Alberta jockey George Woolf unveiled Cardston... “So Long, Charley!” is the name of the statue depicting Cardston hero George Woolf riding Seabiscuit to victory in the riveting 1938 race against War Admiral. The statue will be unveiled Saturday, July 17, at the Remington Carriage Museum in honour of what would have been Woolf’s 100th birthday. Two Albertans, Woolf and Seabiscuit’s other principal jockey, Edmonton native Red Pollard, rose to instant world-wide fame with the surprise win in the “Match of the Century.” The $150,000 statue was commissioned and donated to the Province of Alberta by Cardston ranchers Jack and Ida Lowe. It will stand outside the Remington Carriage Museum in Cardston, a provincial facility that houses the largest collection of horse-drawn vehicles in North America. The statue will strengthen the museum visitor experience by celebrating a thrilling chapter in horse racing history and the supreme achievement of an Alberta horseman. “This statue captures an incredible moment of unexpected triumph in a story that many people do not realize has a strong Alberta connection,” said Lindsay Blackett, Minister of Culture and Community Spirit. “On behalf of the Government of Alberta, I would like to thank Jack and Ida Lowe for their generous donation and strong commitment to showcasing Alberta’s rich history.” Created by Lethbridge artist Don Toney, the statue depicts the moment when Woolf called out “So long, Charley!” to War Admiral’s jockey Charley Kurtsinger as Seabiscuit surged to the lead at Maryland’s Pimlico Race Course, ultimately winning by four lengths and setting a new track record.

This day is set apart every two years to celebrate the Cay and its heritage and this year Man O War Cay’s boatbuild- ing legacy was its particular focus. A great deal of time and effort was put in by the committee organizing a day full of very in- teresting events highlighting its past. The day began with an opening cer- emony at 10 am on the volleyball court. The special guest was the Honourable Obie Wilchcombe, Minister of Tourism. During his keynote address be thanked the people of Man O War Cay on behalf of the people of The Bahamas for what this community is doing and drew attention to Man O War’s great reputation for boat building. “The boating industry has been an important source of our growth and de- velopment long before the advent of the airplane,” he stated and he was presented with a half model of a boat which had been crafted by Andy Albury.
