The Commuter Advisory Board (CAB) was established in fall 2010 to serve in an advising capacity role to the Office of Com- muter Student Services. Their role is to assist in organizing programs and events as well as providing support to the Commuter Student Services Office. CAB meets throughout the academic year with the Director of Commuter Student Services to discuss the needs of commuter students and to plan commuter events. If you are interested in participating in CAB, please contact us.

He looks forward to see- ing you around campus or in the commuter lounge!

Did you get the Emergency Text?

A test text for the campus emergency notification service was sent out earlier this week. To en- sure that timely notifications and information can be sent to you in times of emergency, Hiram College utilizes a text message system called RAVE. This system sends text messages to faculty, staff and students and is used only when an emergency occurs on campus, a campus closing or delay is issued, or other items of urgency need communicated to campus.

If you received the message, you are already registered with the campus emergency notification service. If you DID NOT receive the test text message, please do the following:

1. ACCESS http://my.hiram.edu 2. Click on web4students, or web4faculty 3. Click on “Enter Secure Area” 4. Enter your User and PIN 5. Click on “Personal Information” 6. Update your emergency TEXT number and other data in the appropriate fields. 7. Click “Submit”
