Robert Sadove, Deputy Head; Thomas C. Creyke, Irrigation and Agriculture. Without doubt, the greatest single co- ordinated development operation in which the World Bank has been involved is the massive program for development of the Indus Basin. This pioneering study is an integral part of that project and is unique both in its conceptualization and its compre- hensiveness. It demonstrates the feasibility of a new and more rigorous approach to resource planning and development and will serve as an indispensible model for engi- neers, economists, and planners for years to come. Focal points of the Study are the Indus River, which runs the length of west Paki- stan, several of its tributaries, and a huge natural underground reservoir.

    Annex - III Islamabad, February 24, 2021 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OGDCL Un-Audited Financial Results for the Half Year Ended 31 December 2020 Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), (Ticker: OGDC), today announces its financial results for the Half Year ended December 2020. Financial Statements have been prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards. Highlights of the Half Year include: OGDCL registered net sales of Rs 110.980 billion compared to Rs 127.452 billion in the corresponding period last year Net profit before taxation was Rs 62.069 billion compared to Rs 78.741 billion in the corresponding period last year Net Profit after Taxation was Rs 42.225 billion as against Rs 53.111 billion in the corresponding period last year translating into Earnings per Share of Rs 9.82 The Board of Directors declared second interim cash dividend of Rs1.6 per share Operating profit margin and net profit margin were 47% & 38%, respectively. Average net realized price of crude oil was US$ 38.81/ bbl as against US$ 54.39/ bbl during corresponding period last year Average net realized price for natural gas was Rs 377.93/Mcf as against Rs 360.24/Mcf during corresponding period last year Acquired 1,715 Line km of 2D and 156 sq. km of 3D seismic data compared to 1,503 Line km of 2D seismic data in the corresponding period last year Spud nine (9) wells including six (6) exploratory/ appraisal wells, one (1) development well, one (1) re-entry well and one (1) side track well Exploratory efforts yielded four (4) new

Jan3, Wasim Khan1, Muhammad Awais2, Mohsin Salam1, Bilal Khan1 1Department of Geology, University of Malakand, Pakistan 2Department of Geology, University of Swabi, Pakistan 3National Centre of Excellence in Geology, University of Peshawar, Pakistan *Email: [email protected] Received: 25 September, 2019 Accepted: 12 February, 2020 Abstract: The Lockhart Limestone is evaluated for its reservoir potential by utilizing wireline logs of Shakardara-01 well from Kohat Basin, Pakistan. The analyses showed 28.03% average volume of shale (Vsh), 25.57% average neutron porosity (NPHI), 3.31% average effective porosity (PHIE), 76% average water saturation (Sw), and 24.10% average hydrocarbon saturation (Sh) of the Lockhart Limestone in Shakardara-01 well. Based on variation in petrophysical character, the reservoir units of the Lockhart Limestone are divided into three zones i.e., zone-1, zone-2 and zone-3. Out of these zones, zone-1 and zone-2 possess a poor reservoir potential for hydrocarbons as reflected by very low effective porosity (1.40 and 2.02% respectively) and hydrocarbon saturation (15 and 5.20%), while zone-3 has a moderate reservoir potential due to its moderate effective porosity (6.50%) and hydrocarbon saturation (52%) respectively. Overall, the average effective porosity of 3.31% and hydrocarbon saturation of 24.10% as well as 28.03% volume of shale indicated poor reservoir potential of the Lockhart Limestone.

    Weekly Bulletin Epidemiological Disease early warning system and response in Pakistan Volume 3, Issue 15, Wednesday 18 April 2012 Highlights Priority diseases under surveillance Epidemiological week no. 15 (8 to 14 April 2012) in DEWS Acute (Upper) Respiratory Infection • In week 15, 2012, total 82 districts including 3 agencies provided surveillance data to the Pneumonia DEWS on weekly basis from around 2,010 health facilities. Data from mobile teams is reported Suspected Diphtheria through sponsoring BHU or RHC. Suspected Pertussis Acute Watery Diarrhoea Bloody diarrhoea • A total of 684,278 consultations were reported through DEWS of which 19% were acute Other Acute Diarrhoea respiratory infections (ARI); 8% were acute diarrhoea; 4% were suspected malaria; while 4% were Suspected Enteric/Typhoid Fever Skin disease. Suspected Malaria Suspected Meningitis Suspected Dengue fever • A total of 247 alerts reported while 27 outbreaks were identified in week 15, 2012: Alto‐ Suspected Viral Hemorrhagic Fever gether 142 alerts for Measles; 30 for Leishmaniasis; 16 for NNT and Tetanus; 12 for Typhoid; 11 Pyrexia of Unknown Origin for Pertussis; 9 for acute diarrhoea; 7 for Scabies; 5 for ARI; 4 for Acute jaundice syndrome; 3 for Suspected Measles Suspected Acute Viral Hepatitis AWD; 2 each for Bloody diarrhoea and Diphtheria; while 1 each for CCHF, HF, Food poisoning and Chronic Viral Hepatitis Chicken Pox. Neonatal Tetanus Acute Flaccid Paralysis • In this week no new polio cases was reported. As of 16 April 2012, the total number of polio Scabies Cutaneous Leishmaniasis cases confirmed by the laboratory is 15 from 10 districts/towns/tribal agencies and areas.

QUALITATIVE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE COMMONLY USED VEGETABLES IN USTERZAI OF KOHAT REGION JAVID HUSSAIN1,2*, NAJEEB UR REHMAN2, ZABTA KHAN SHINWARI3, LIAQAT ALI2, AHMED AL-HARRASI2, ABDUL LATIF KHAN1,2, AND FAZAL MABOOD2 1Department of Chemistry, Kohat University of Science & Technology, Kohat, 26000, Pakistan 2Department of Biological Sciences and Chemistry, College of Arts and Sciences, University of Nizwa, Birkat Al-Mouz, Nizwa 616, Sultanate of Oman 3Department of Biotechnology, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan *Corresponding authors: [email protected] Abstract The present study was conducted with the aim to investigate the proximate composition and elemental analysis of important leafy (Malva sylvestris, Eruca sativa, and Mentha sylvestris) and fleshy (Brassica rapa, Brassica oleracea var. botyris, and Raphanus sativus) vegetables, which are commonly used in the rural areas of Usterzai (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – Pakistan). The proximate parameters (moisture, fat, protein, carbohydrate, ash and crude fiber) were evaluated by using AOAC methods whereas elemental analyses were carried-out by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. The results showed that R. sativus had highest moisture contents (15.46 ± 0.16%). The ash and protein contents were highest in M. sylvestris (18.48 ± 0.01% and 16.16 ± 0.32% respectively). E. sativa has highest fiber (14.64 ± 0.24%) contents while B. oleracaea had highest carbohydrate (86.22 ± 0.54%) and energy values (354.17±0.54 Kcal/100g). In case of micro and macro nutrient concentrations, the R. sativus had highest iron (13.03 ± 0.14), copper (9.96 ± 0.16), manganese (0.79 ± 0.01), cadmium (0.21 ± 0.01) and lead (0.44 ± 0.02) while E.
