Proposed methodology of LCA was applied in the southwestern part of Biele Karpaty Mountains (White carpathians) in Western slovakia. the model area is interesting because of the unique cultural landscape with characteristic dispersed settlement and mainly extensive farming. A part overlaps with the landscape Protected area White carpathians, whose boundary has changed during the time. consequently more valuable places have been separated from less valuable areas from the aspect of nature and landscape protection. one of the aims of the master thesis was whether it applied to the landscape character as well. The nearest cities are Sokolov (24,177 inhabitants), Citice (889 inhabitants) and Dolní Rychnov (1,430 inhabitants). The area totalling 31.5 ha is divided into two independent locations (Přátelství Industrial zone 16 ha, Silvestr Industrial Zone 15.5 ha) and based on the territorial planning documentation it is ready for investors to use it primarily for industrial production, wholesale warehouses and construction industry. The territory lies southwest of Sokolov and comprises part of the industrial area of Dolní Rychnov. The southwest tip of the Přátelství zone is connected with the Tisová power plant. The Silvestr zone is a reclaimed burrow of the former Silvestr coalmine. Approx. 3 km away express road R/6 can be reached. Moreover, the railroad track stretching from Cheb and Chomutov runs nearby while the Přátelství - Silvestr complex is provided with fully serviceable railroad sidings. The site is equipped with a 6 and 22 kV transmission network. Heat can be supplied from the Tisová – Sokolov steam pipeline (10 MW) that passes along the boundaries of the individual zones.

    social sciences $€ £ ¥ Article The Development of the Health and Social Care Sector in the Regions of the Czech Republic in Comparison with other EU Countries Erika Urbánková Department of Economic Theories, Faculty of Economics and Management, Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague 16500, Czech Republic; [email protected] Received: 6 April 2019; Accepted: 29 May 2019; Published: 3 June 2019 Abstract: In this paper, the quantitative status of employees in the Health and Social Care sector in the Czech Republic is assessed, and the future development of the sector is predicted both for the Czech Republic as a whole, and for individual regions according to the NUTS3 classification. At present, labor market prognoses are created using the ROA-CERGE model, which includes the main professions in the Health and Social Care sector. This article expands the predictions by adding the regional level and using extrapolation of time series, and it identifies the regions important for the given sector and the labor force. The position of the Czech Republic with regard to selected professions in comparison with other countries of the European Union, i.e., its qualitative status, is also assessed in the paper. The following professions are assessed: general nurses and midwives (both with and without a specialization), physicians, and professional assistants. Healthcare workers do not manifest geographical mobility between regions and work primarily in the region where they live. Since the Czech Republic’s accession to the EU, staff working in key professions have been able to work under comparable conditions in any of the member states. The workforce flow depends, among other things, on its qualitative representation in the given country.

However, most of this boundary is covered by Late Carboniferous and younger sedimentary and volcanic rocks, which prevent direct observation of particular geological units. We present a compilation of geological and depth measurement data from 12,134 exploration boreholes that reached the basement of the volcanic and sedimentary infill in the area of the Eger Graben in the north-western Bo- hemia, and correlate covered geological units with those exposed on the present-day surface. The resulting compilation reveals the relief of the sedimentary basins basement and interprets the real extent of the basement geological units in the western part of the Bohemian Massif. It also shows the position of the contact between units with the Saxothuringian and the Teplá–Barrandian affinities and suggests the boundary between rocks with Devonian metamorphic record and those metamorphosed during the Early Carboniferous period of the Variscan tectonometamorphic cycle. The paper analyses the election activity of the Polish inhabitants of the Zaolzie region (the Czech Republic) in the 1990-2018 period referring to national elections (Lower Chamber of Parliament, Senate, President of the Czech Republic) as well as local and regional elections. The theoretical section offers analyses of national and ethnic minorities as (collective) political actors. The empirical part provides an in-depth analysis of the votes in particular elections, taking into consideration the communes with a significant rate of Polish inhabitants as well as those communes there the Polish ethnos was rather scarce. The ethnic affiliation has been considered as a vital independent variable of the choices made; however, other variables explaining election behaviour have also been indicated.
