De acordo com o dicionário Priberam, o significado da palavra agradecimento é a “expressão ou fato que manifesta gratidão”. A gratidão, por sua vez, tem origem no termo do latim gratus, que pode ser traduzido como agradecido ou grato. Uma frase de Machado de Assis me faz refletir bastante sobre esse momento: “A gratidão de quem recebe um benefício, é bem menor que o prazer daquele de quem o faz. ” Então, nesse momento de agradecimentos, uma breve introspecção me faz relembrar perfeitamente da minha caminhada até aqui. RESUMO A presente dissertação constitui-se de um Estudo de Caso sobre um formato de capacitação tecnológica proposto por empresas e instituições das áreas das tecnologias da informação e comunicação (TIC) visando minimizar um grave problema nacional: a deficiência de recursos humanos qualificados, frente aos desafios impostos pela intensificação do processo de digitalização que alcança os mais diferentes setores socioeconômicos, problema que poderá agravar-se com a consolidação da Internet das Coisas e o paradigma da Indústria 4.0. Trata-se do projeto Hackatruck, que resultou de iniciativa das empresas Flextronics, Apple e IBM, juntamente com o Instituto Eldorado, de Campinas, que firmaram parcerias com instituições de ensino superior para que alunos universitários possam obter experiência com ferramentas e metodologia que estimulem o desenvolvimento de soluções baseadas em software. O objetivo geral deste trabalho é avaliar a eficácia desse projeto como prática de capacitação tecnológica para alunos do ensino superior do Brasil. Para isso, foram definidos os seguintes objetivos específicos: analisar os resultados gerados pelo projeto Hackatruck; investigar a importância acadêmica e profissional do projeto Hackatruck para os discentes; e investigar a percepção dos alunos do projeto Hackatruck quanto a eficácia da capacitação tecnológica realizada por meio da metodologia de aprendizagem baseada em desafios. O processo metodológico utilizado nesta dissertação foi do tipo quali-quantitativo, por meio de entrevistas, análise documental e aplicação de questionários para coleta das informações para as análises e investigações propostas. Como principal resultado desta dissertação pode-se destacar a avaliação positiva da proposta pedagógica formulada por meio do projeto Hackatruck, denotada por indicadores de aprendizagem, dos alunos que participaram desse projeto. Além disso, os estudos realizados para atender a um dos objetivos específicos desta dissertação, resultou na submissão de um artigo científico à revista “Informática na educação: teoria & prática”. ABSTRACT This dissertation is a case study about a technological training format proposed by companies and institutions in the area of information and communication technologies (ICT) aiming to minimize a serious national problem: the lack of qualified human resources, facing the challenges imposed by the intensification of the digitization process that reaches the most different socioeconomic sectors, a problem that could be aggravated by the consolidation of the Internet of Things and the Industry 4.0 paradigm. This is the Hackatruck project, which resulted from the initiative of Flextronics, Apple and IBM, together with the Eldorado Institute of Campinas, which have partnered with higher education institutions so that university students can gain experience with tools and methodology that stimulate the development of software based solutions. The general objective of this paper is to evaluate the effectiveness of this project as a technology training practice for higher education students in Brazil. For this, the following specific objectives were defined: to analyze the results generated by the Hackatruck project; investigate the academic and professional importance of the Hackatruck project for students; and to investigate Hackatruck students' perceptions of the effectiveness of technology training through the challenge-based learning methodology. The methodological process used in this dissertation was qualitative and quantitative, through interviews, document analysis and application of questionnaires to collect information for the proposed analyzes and investigations. The main result of this dissertation can be highlighted the positive evaluation of the pedagogical proposal formulated through the Hackatruck project, denoted by learning indicators, of the students who participated in this project. In addition, studies conducted to meet one of the specific objectives of this dissertation resulted in the submission of a scientific article to the journal "Informatics in education: theory & practice". However, there is a much lesser-known type of organization, which has recently emerged and has also been making contributions: private insti- tutes, usually nonprofits, which have been filling research orders for companies and government agencies. There are 18 of these institutes in the state of São Paulo, according to a survey that was published in the FAPESP 2015 Annual Activity Report, which is available at www.fapesp.br/en/ publications/2015_report.pdf. Some of these in- stitutes are affiliated with private hospitals that seek to transfer the results of clinical research to the treatment of patients. Others are centers for research and development (R&D) that focus on challenges in areas such as information technol- ogy, telecommunications, and agronomy. One of the oldest private institutes, which has the broadest products and services protifolios, is the Center for Research and Development in Telecommunications (CPqD). Formerly a re- search center for the state-owned Telebras, it be- came a private nonprofit foundation 18 years ago, after the privatization of the telecommunications industry. Its 1,100 employees work on projects in fields such as communications, computer science, national defense, data networks and security, and have been commissioned by companies to take use the available resources from the Information Technology Act, the Fund for Technological De- velopment of Telecommunications (Funttel), the National Science and Technology Development Fund (FNDCT), and the Brazilian Development Bank’s Technological Fund (Funtec).

Vendor(s) shall, at the request of Region 4 ESC and/or TCPN members, provide these covered products and associated services under the terms of this RFP and the contract terms and conditions. Software may be offered as out-of-the-box, Platform-as-a-Service (PAAS) or Software-as-a-service (SAAS).
