LAST TIME: NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS The final meet of the 2004 season was the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Cham- pionships, held June 9-11, in Austin, Texas. A total of 18 student-athletes (eight men and 10 women) represented the Sun Dev- ils with the men totaling 22 points to finish tied for 10th place while the women accu- mulated 12 points to end the season 22nd. On the women’s side, Jacquelyn Johnson led the way by winning the heptathlon national title, becoming the first Sun Devil since 1996 to claim an individual NCAA crown.
