Sit beside tennis courts for a while and you see players of all ages and all abilities. During any practice or game, you can watch them get good aerobic exercise, work virtually all the muscle groups and stretch their bodies from the tips of their toes on up. Pairing up the demands of tennis with a comprehensive exercise system is no small feat, but that ’s exactly what can be accomplished with the Gyrotonic Expansion System. And it’s worth noting many of the same principles and benefits apply to golf. Developed on the strength and movement fundamentals of ballet, gymnastics, swimming, martial arts and yoga, Gyrotonic equipment is used in exercise routines designed to increase strength, balance, coordination, rotational flexibility and even endurance. With that list of attributes, it ’s no wonder this system is quickly gaining popularity with players of all abilities.

To make this shot properly, I’m going to slide my hands down lower on the grip and hold the club with what I call a weaker grip, meaning both thumbs on top of the club with an open clubface. Ball position in relation to stance is also important. I want to slide the ball position back into the middle of my stance so the clubface will bottom out and be a little more shallow under the ball. For Buyers •Start your search by checking the website of a reputable Realtor or company, such as windermeresocal.com . This will help you narrow your criteria, including price, year built, size of home, location and amenities offered.

•Consult a Realtor. Find one who specializes in your area of interest, such as properties within country clubs or other types of communities. A specialist will likely have information not necessarily available on websites.

obuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa is known internationally for his fusion cuisine blending traditional Japanese dishes with Peruvian ingredients. He worked at NMatsue Sushi restaurant in Tokyo for seven years after high school and, in 1973, was invited by a regular customer, a Peruvian entrepreneur of Japanese descent, to open a Japanese restaurant in Peru. Japanese ingredients were scarce there and Nobu had to create his own cuisine with what was available. Fast forward to today. Nobu has a culinary empire with 12 restaurants in the United States, 19 scattered around the globe and two on Crystal Cruises ships. Last year he added an Indian Wells pop-up restaurant during the BNP Paribas Open. Brian Leon, general manager at the Malibu Nobu and project manager for the tournament restaurant, imported his staff from Nobu restaurants all over the world. The team arrived in the desert a month before the tournament to get prepared. The plan was to serve the most popular dishes from the Malibu restaurant, and Leon was happily surprised by the agricultural abundance of the Coachella Valley. This year he’s going to take advantage of that, incorporating local produce such as dates into some of the dishes. Last year he offered a lunch and bar menu from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and the full Chop House menu from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. With no clue as to what hungry spectators were going to eat, he ordered plenty of his signature, humanely raised, antibiotic-free beef, pork and lamb in advance, as well as wild, sustainable fish and organic produce. The staff was trained over a four-day period. The restaurant, seating 160 inside and 24 on the patio, had lines out the door. Televisions were set up to broadcast the tournament for waiting guests who were eventually summoned for a table on their cell phones. Morcus reports that the restaurant served 1,000 or more people a day, and he estimates that he made 200 decisions every hour while tweaking his menus frequently. Prime aged for a minimum of 28 days, Chop House steaks are seasoned with a house blend of sea salts, cracked black pepper and roasted fresh herbs.
