Metallica’s “WorldWired Tour” will descend on the King Baudouin Stadium in on Sunday, June 16th. The concert is sold-out. We gladly summarise all the practical information you need so you can attend the concert well prepared. Thank you for reading this through. We wish you a great concert!

TIGHTENED ACCESS CONTROL

Over the past weeks and months, there have been several meetings with the authorities concerning the upcoming Metallica concert. Additional security measures will be put in place. We kindly ask not to bring unnecessary things with you. Leave bags and backpacks at home if possible. Backpacks and handbags will be strictly checked. May we ask for your cooperation by keeping your ticket ready, opening your bag or backpack and showing its content upon simple request from our crew? You'll also need to pass through a metal detector gate before entering the stadium. Please watch the below video so you know what to expect at the access control:

Clear guidelines have been drawn up concerning the items that are/aren't allowed inside the King Baudouin Stadium. An overview of those items can be found below this practical mailing. Everything will be put in place to make the additional checks go as smoothly as possible, so you can enjoy an exceptional concert night. We would like to thank you in advance, for your understanding and your spontaneous cooperation at the security checks.

TRAVELLING TO AND FROM THE CONCERT

Due to infrastructure improvements and a cycling event around the Heysel exhibition park, only a limited number of parking spots are available and some streets may be closed to traffic. You should avoid coming to the King Baudouin Stadium by car. We strongly encourage the use of public transportation. NMBS/SNCB will offer special night trains after the concert. The Metallica e-train ticket, including MIVB in Brussels, costs only 10 euros. MIVB/STIB will also provide extra capacity for the concert. We provide a guarded bicycle parking at the stadium. We advise against parking at the Heysel exhibition park. Parking tickets are restricted in number and cost 20 euros maximum. We gladly sum up all the information for you:

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

After the concert NMBS/SNCB will provide extra night trains. You can purchase a Metallica e-train ticket for only 10 euros, regardless of the distance you travel. This ticket can only be purchased online via nmbs.be/metallica. The return train ticket is valid for 2nd class to Brussel-Zuid station (outward journey with a regular train, homeward journey with an extra night train) and travel by metro between Brussel-Zuid station and the King Baudouin Stadium.

After the concert, NMBS/SNCB will provide the following extra night trains:

• Brussel-Zuid - Dendermonde - Wetteren - Gent-St.-Pieters - Aalter - Brugge – Oostende • Brussel-Zuid - Denderleeuw - Deinze - Waregem - Kortrijk – Roeselare • Brussel-Zuid - Kontich-Lint - Antwerpen-Centraal - Beveren - Sint-Niklaas – Lokeren • Brussel-Zuid - Leuven - Tienen - Landen - Sint-Truiden - Hasselt – Genk • Brussel-Zuid - Mechelen - Lier - Herentals - Tielen – Turnhout

Only passengers with the corresponding Metallica e-train ticket will be allowed to board these extra night trains. Your purchase is valid as a reservation. The number of Metallica e-train tickets is limited per extra night train. 62% has already been sold. Don't hesitate!

Tip: You’re coming to your departure station by car? By using the barcode on your Metallica e-train ticket you pay only 4 euros on one of the 14 B-Parkings with preferential rate.

The King Baudouin Stadium is within walking distance from the metro stations Houba-Brugmann and Heizel/Heysel (line 2 and 6). The number of carriages will be increased before and after the concert. If you have a ticket for the Standing Pitch or Grandstand 2 then you should get off at Houba- Brugmann. If you have a ticket for Grandstand 3 or 4 then you should get off at Heizel/Heysel. Trams and buses from De Lijn and MIVB/STIB also stop near the King Baudouin Stadium. The stops Heizel/Heysel (tram 7), Stadion/Stade (tram 51, 93 and De Lijn buses 233, 240, 241, 242, 243, 246, 250, 251, 260, 820), Koning Boudewijn/Heizel/Heysel (MIVB/STIB buses 84, 88), Esplanade (tram 3) and Eeuwfeest/Centenaire (tram 19) are within walking distance.

BY BIKE

The King Baudouin Stadium is easy to reach by bike. Lots of municipalities are within cycling distance. We have mapped out the area for you. A free, guarded bicycle parking area will be provided near the entrance at the Victor Boin stadium (Houba de Strooperlaan, Brussels). The first 1,000 cyclists to arrive will be rewarded with a small gift from Metallica!

Also handy: you can use the Villo shared bicycles in Brussels. A day pass costs 1.60 euros. There are four Villo stations around the King Baudouin Stadium: Heizel/Heysel, Atomium, Stadion/Stade and Houba-Brugmann. You can find more information about Villo here.

You live too far away to come by bike? Park & Bike is a good option. You bring a bike in your car, park your car just outside Brussels and then bike to the King Baudouin Stadium. Parking is available at:

• Botanic Garden in Meise (Nieuwelaan 38, 1860 Meise – a 4.5 km bike ride) • Hypermarkt Carrefour Sint-Agatha-Berchem (Keizer Karellaan 560, 1082 Sint-Agatha- Berchem – a 5 km bike ride)

BY COACH OR BUS

Will you be organising your own coach or bus? If you register beforehand by emailing [email protected], your bus can park at Brussels Expo Parking C for 40 euros. You will then receive specific accessibility details a few days before the concert.

BY CAR

We strongly advise against coming to the King Baudouin Stadium by car, but if you do, you will have to take a few things into account:

The organization provides tickets to two car parks in pre-sale: Parking Trade Mart and Parking Tour & Taxis. Only those in possession of a parking ticket will be granted access to these car parks. A parking ticket costs 20 euros maximum. Tickets can be purchased via this link. When purchasing a ticket you must select a car park. Your reservation is only valid for one parking spot and only on the car park that you selected when purchasing the parking ticket.

Parking C is accessible and is hosted by Brussels Expo. Pre-booking is not possible.

A parking ban is in effect at the Heysel exhibition park. The traffic police keep a close eye on violators. No parking spots are available outside the official car parks.

A cycling event is taking place on the same day, so be sure to take traffic jams into account. Be sure to leave on time. Exits can be closed at any time.

To avoid traffic jams around the King Baudouin Stadium you can try Park & Ride. You park the car at one of the transit car parks around Brussels and then take public transportation to the King Baudouin Stadium. MIVB/STIB will deploy extra metro carriages on line 5 after the concert. The following transit car parks are accessible with this line: Erasmus, Delta, Herrmann-Debroux. IN THE STADIUM

Find your spot in the stadium

Follow the sign ‘tribune’ or ‘veld’ and the corresponding colour!

The standing pitch (GREY) is only accessible via tribune 1 (RED). Use the entrance at the Sportslaan for ‘Golden Circle & GA Floor – Entry Sportslaan / Avenue des Sports’. Proceed to the entrance at Marathonlaan (intersection with Boechoutlaan) for ‘GA Floor – Entry Marathonlaan / Avenue de Marathon’. Your entrance is listed in the top left corner of your ticket.

If you have a seat in the bleachers, please follow the colour indicated on your ticket. Proceed to the block, row and seat mentioned on your ticket.

Important! Keep your ticket on hand at all times!

Good agreements make good friends. Here are some important guidelines.

• By entering the stadium you signal your consent to a scan and search of your bag or rucksack. You may be refused entry if you refuse to allow a scan or search. • The organizer and/or official ticket distributor reserves the right to verify the identity of a ticket holder. • These items are not allowed into the stadium: weapons, knives, sharp objects or other objects which the organization considers dangerous, drugs, explosives, fireworks, glass, cans, cartons, plastic bottles, sprays (deodorants, perfumes), alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, camel bags/water backpacks, large backpacks (>45 cm height >30l volume), tripods and selfie sticks, drones, professional photography, film or recording equipment, tablets, drinking bottles/drinking cups/mess tins, horns and other items capable of making a loud noise, lasers, flashlights, blankets, footrests, (folding) chairs, umbrellas, baskets, cool boxes, (motor)cycles, skateboards, skates, smartphone flashes, inflatable objects such as beach balls and balloons and Frisbees. These items are not permitted and may be confiscated by the security personnel. Items may be added to this list at any time. • Sticks and poles must be removed from pennants, flags, banners and signs. Flags and signs cannot be larger than A4 (= 29.7 cm x 21 cm). Maximum 1 A4 per person is permitted. These objects cannot show or contain messages of a political, religious or inappropriate nature. • These items are allowed into the stadium: non-drinkable liquids and gels in amounts up to 100 ml, with a total maximum of 1 liter, small, non-professional cameras, mobile phones and smartphones, sunglasses, cigarettes, hats and medicines. • We advise not to bring gifts for the artist. • It is forbidden to sell illegal merchandise inside or outside the stadium. Official T-shirts and souvenirs are sold inside the stadium only. • It is forbidden to hand out flyers or sample products in or around the stadium. • Camping is strictly forbidden.

IMPORTANT

• By entering the stadium, you give your explicit consent to be included in any film, photograph, audio and/or audio-visual recording to be exploited in any and all media for any purpose at any time throughout the world. This includes filming by the police or security which may be used for consumer security. • Upon entering the stadium, you agree to the concert’s conditions of sale. These conditions can be found on your ticket.
