• Enduro 2 Class Success for Salminen & Husqvarna in Sweden
Enduro 2 class success for Salminen & Husqvarna in Sweden Husqvarna Enduro Team by CH Racing , riders Juha Salminen and Alex Salvini enjoyed podium success at the sixth round of the Enduro World Championship, the GP of Sweden, with Salminen winning the Enduro 2 class on day one before again finishing on the podium on day two in second. Salvini, who had a day to forget on day one, bounced back in style to place third in class on day two – the Italians second podium result of the series. Despite heavy rain during the days leading up to the Swedish race the event remained largely dry, but proved to be a long and challenging one. Making things tough for competitors was a typically Swedish forest enduro test that played a key role in deciding the results. Recording the fastest Enduro 2 class time during the Friday night super test Salminen went on to enjoy a near perfect start to the opening day. Quickly asserting himself at the front of the class the Finn went on to top four of the day’s special tests before placing a sizeable 39 seconds ahead of his nearest rival. Unable to explain exactly why things didn’t go quite as well on day two Juha placed as runner-up to Frenchman Pierre-Alexandre Renet. The fastest rider on the all-important enduro test on day one, on day two Salminen dominated the motocross test but wasn’t able to continue his mastery of the fast paced enduro special stage. Nevertheless Juha claimed a well deserved second place result and now looks forward to his home GP in Finland, next weekend.

  • Juha Salminen Holt Ersten Sieg in Der Enduro Weltmeisterschaft Für BMW 30

  • Good Speed but Bad Luck for Salminen and Husqvarna at EWC GP of Argentina
Good speed but bad luck for Salminen and Husqvarna at EWC GP of Argentina Husqvarna Enduro Team by CH Racing’s Juha Salminen saw his hopes of a double Enduro 2 class win ended on day one of the Enduro World Championship GP of Argentina when the Finn was forced to retire after a stone became lodged between the chain and front sprocket of his bike. Leading the E2 class at the time, Salminen bounced back in spectacular style to win the class on day two – his second E2 class win in as many GPs. In Argentina conditions were extremely dry and rocky – just as they were one week earlier in Chile. With four laps each day, come the end of the second day’s competition in San Juan only the very fittest were able to give their all. A cautious sixth on the opening super test on Friday night, Juha Salminen made a determined start to the first full day of competition. Winning three of the first four timed special tests Juha opened up an advantage over Spain’s Ivan Cervantes before his luck ran out and he was sidelined from the event. While in control of the Enduro 2 class Juha’s bike stopped on the motocross test with a stone wedged between the front sprocket and chain. Needing more than 30 minutes to remove the stone, Juha was then able to ride back to the paddock in preparation for day two. Determined to show what could have been on day one Juha topped the opening special test before controlling his class lead.

GP of Mexico 20 July 2009 07:42 Salminen ups his pace in Mexico Juha Salminen, BMW Motorrad Motorsport’s former seven-time World Enduro Champion, has secured his best performances so far this season with a double Enduro 2 class result at the WEC GP of Mexico, held in Valle de Bravo. Competing as the team’s one and only rider at the series’ only non-European event, Juha, who had also placed as runner-up on both days at the GP of Finland, was notably more competitive than at any other WEC event so far this year and placed just 32 seconds behind eventual class winner Johnny Aubert on day one. Recording the fastest time in the Enduro 2 class around the Friday night Super Test Juha headed into the first full day of competition confident of challenging for the E2 class win. Going on to win the opening extreme test Juha held the E2 class lead at the end of the first lap but frustratingly crashed on the second motocross test, losing around 20 seconds. Riding well throughout the rest of the day Juha finished just over half-a-minute behind Johnny Aubert and in a well-deserved second position. Although not quite able to win any of the second day’s special tests Juha again enjoyed good form finishing just a few seconds behind Aubert on each of the enduro and extreme special tests. Placing comfortably ahead of third placed rider Cristobal Guerrero from Spain Juha ended the day extremely pleased with his increased competitiveness. Juha Salminen – Enduro 2 class: “Although second isn’t where I or anyone in the team wants to be finishing I can’t be disappointed with the fact that I’ve been more competitive than at any other world championship race so far this year.

  • Victories for Seistola & Phillips at EWC GP of Spain
Victories for Seistola & Phillips at EWC GP of Spain Enduro 1 class rider Matti Seistola and Enduro Junior rookie Matt Phillips ensured a highly successful GP of Spain for the Husqvarna Factory Team by CH Racing as both riders enjoyed victory at the third round of the 2013 Enduro World Championship. For Seistola a winning ride on day one saw the Finn return to the top step of an EWC podium for the first time since 2011. For Phillips a double class win put the young Australian into the lead of the Enduro Junior World Championship. Marking the first of five Enduro World Championship events taking place in Europe the GP of Spain was for many one of the toughest EWC races for many years. With the extremely dry ground in and around Puerto Lumbreras quickly becoming heavily rutted, the incredibly fine, lose dust proved to be increasingly unpredictable, something that saw mistakes from riders in all classes. For Seistola day one went extremely well. Taking advantage of early mistake by Frenchman Antoine Meo and team-mate Juha Salminen, Matti took the class lead and looked set to claim the win. But a costly mistake mid-way through the day pushed the Finn from the top spot. Through determined riding Matti re-took the lead and held on for a well- deserved win. With things very much going Seistola’s way on day one, for Juha Salminen it was a very different story. Despite riding well, a costly mistake on the opening special test forced him to play catch up throughout the day, claiming an eventual fourth place result.
