He is one of three active Power hitters to have an average above .300 (.317) in 11-4 the season’s penultimate month. West Virginia has now won six 1-0 decisions, the most 1-0 wins in a single season in Power history (2005-present). May 2 Lakewood 10-0, Loss June 20 Lakewood 5-4, Loss (F/10) HANGING ZEROES: Thanks to their 1-0 win yesterday, West Virginia recorded its 12th shutout victory of the season, June 21 Lakewood 1-0, Win (F/10) surpassing the Greensboro Grasshoppers for the most shutout wins in the South Atlantic League. In fact, the Power June 22 Lakewood 3-2 Win is tied with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers for the fifth-most blankings across all of Low-A baseball. Sweet leaves the South August 23 Charleston 1-0, Win Atlantic League with a 7-5 record and a 3.06 ERA, fourth-best in the SAL, as well as 131 strikeouts in 108.2 innings August 24 Charleston 6:05 p.m. of work.
