A ball entering the dugout or striking equipment inside the dugout is a dead ball. 2.) A ball striking the protective screen in front of the dugouts and rebounding onto the playing field is in play. 3.) A ball striking any part of the netting behind home plate or the press box is a dead ball. 4.) A ball lodging in the field tarp or entering the field tarp cylinder is a dead ball. 5.) A catch will not be allowed if a player has placed any footing on the field tarp or field tarp cylinder. However, a player may lean on or over the field tarp to make a catch. 6.)
