Special Articles HERBERT H
Special Articles HERBERT H. LEHMAN: IN MEMORIAM BY LOUIS FINKELSTEIN T A HE passing of Herbert H. Lehman was a profound loss to all who had labored with him for the welfare of the Jewish community and, indeed, to all in our country and throughout the world who had shared his concern for humanity. To a nation still mourning the untimely death of its young president, the loss of this second life, long an inspiration to the forces of enlightenment, deepened the sense of desolation and dark- ness that hung over those tragic days. The nation lost more than a venerated statesman whose dedication to the cause of justice and humanity had made his name a legend throughout the world. Lehman the idealist, the man of action, the man of courage, stood as the shining symbol of America at its finest. No one more truly represented the spirit of liberty and brotherhood so deeply rooted in the history of this country than this second-generation American Jew. For traditions and teachings older than the country itself had contributed to mold his character and to fire him with the passion for social justice that illumined his entire life. Sixty years of that life had been devoted to the service of his fellow- man, crowded years of dedication and unremitting industry, marked by milestones of progress and reform. His interests had led him to vastly different areas of activity, in national and international affairs, in the government of city and state, in the realm of commerce and labor, in the world of education and philanthropy. -

In this thesis, I intend to argue that the connoisseurship of Bernard Berenson significantly irnpacted the art collecting strategies of New York financiers Philip and Robeit Lehman. In the late nineteenth century, Berenson and the Lehmans were equally influenced by America's growing fascination with European culture. specifically that of the Italian Renaissance. -
Some Rothschild Reps in the Pilgrims Society!
SOME ROTHSCHILD REPS IN THE PILGRIMS SOCIETY! Presented October 2018 By Charles Savoie www.silverstealers.net www.nosilvernationalization.org https://www.facebook.com/charles.savoie.96387 "THE ROTHSCHILDS WERE ACCUSED OF HAVING CONSPIRED TO DEMONETIZE SILVER AND CORNER THE GOLD SUPPLY."--- New York Times, March 8, 1931, section 9, page 3. People overlook the enormous role in gold-silver manipulations by such operators as Jay Gould, Collis P. Huntington, Alvinza Hayward, Lloyd Tevis, James B. Haggin and Darius O. Mills, to cite several prominent names from the 1800s. Haggin and Mills lived to become Pilgrims Society members in its early years (at least as of 1906); fortunes left by the other men came to also be represented, with the exception of Hayward, unless evidence surfaces. Huntington boasted “Whatever is not nailed down is mine. Whatever I can pry loose is mine” Huntington’s monstrous fortune from railroads, gold mining and land is held in trust by Miner Hill Warner, current president of The Pilgrims NYC--- I’ve often stressed that the Rothschilds are hardly by themselves atop the sphere of high finance, and I’ve substantiated this situation with a great many details, including finance overlords who the Rothschilds always lost out to, and I do mean “always” --- https://www.silvermarketnewsonline.com/articles/ MiningKingpinOpposedSilverMoney_Savoie They wanted a high ounce gold mine Haggin held in Mexico, he rebuffed them; they turned tail and ran. Haggin masterfully whipped them in five of five rounds in the world copper market, dominating the Anaconda mine in Montana and Cerro De Pasco in Peru that added staggeringly to his already insane fortune due to the world electricalization boom of the 1890s. -

The Lehman Family In 1928, Pranklin 1. Roosevelt was elected Governor of the State of New York. The man who ran with him for Lieutenant- Governor was little mentioned at the time. Pour year? later, when Franklin I). Roosevelt was elected President of the United States the people of the State chose this Lieutenant-Governor to fill the vacancy in Albany. In 1938, the people confirmed the same man for four more years in office. Thus, he achieved a feat which ncjbne else accomplished before him. The man who rose so high in the political life of the United States is Herbert Henry Lehman. He is the son of Mayer * ; Lehman who came to this country from Prussia in the middle l& of the last century. N~" "* As many other German jews who distinguished themselves later in the United States - e.g. the Straus's, the Er- langerfs - Mayer Lehman did not stay in New York but moved to the South. In Montgomery, Alabama, he opened a cotton business which attained a large significance during the time of the Civil Tar. Montgomery was then capital of the South^ and cotton its main article of export. Mayer Lehman's business flourished, and his prestige in the city and the South grew equally. Jefferson JDavis, President of the Con- federate States of America, was one of his friends. After the Civil Tar was over the merchant was attracted hy the new metropolis of commerce, Hew York. Here it was that Mayer Lehman, with his brother Emmanuel, founded the banking house of Lehman Brothers which has developed since to one of the biggest private banking institutions in the United States. -

NEWBERRY LIBRARY, CHICAGO, ILL. NEW YORK CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY, NEW YORK ALDERMAN LIBRARY, UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA MCCORMICK LIBRARY, WASHINGTON & LEE UNIVERSITY First Foreword When he was proffered the cup of hemlock by his fellow-citizens, Socretes’ last words were, “Crito, I owe a cock to Asclepius; will you remember to pay the debt ?” A gentleman is responsible for his obligations, and this book is the repayment of the efforts of three great men who chose me as their protege – Ezra Pound, the dominant literary figure of our time; George Stimpson, the most respected journalist in Washington (the title has been vacant since his death); and H.L. Hunt, whose spectacular business success blinded the public to his brilliant philosophical achievements. It was H.L. Hunt who invented the term “The Mistaken” for the self-corrupted members of the new class who now control our world – he might have added that they could also be described as “The Misshapen”, because of their warped and perverted sense of values. -
