Read: :32-37 Questions for discussion: -What did those who believed in share with other believers? -Who sold a field and gave all the money to Jesus’ disciples? -Why did the believers give everything they had to others? -What can you learn from this passage for your life?

Pray: God, thank you for your word that is a testimony to your power and shows us how to live. Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and rising again from the grave so that we may live forever with you. , we ask that you would work in power in our lives. Draw this family to know and love you, and help us to be willing to give all that we have to you. Teach us how to make our relationship with you more important than anything else in our lives. DAY TWO

Read: :1-6 Questions for discussion: -Explain what Ananias did in these verses. -How did Ananias sin? -Why do you think Ananias kept some of the proceeds of the land for himself? -What was Ananias' consequence of lying to God? -What does this passage teach us about God? What does this passage teach us about ourselves?

Prayer Points: Thank God for the reminder that He knows our hearts. Nothing is hidden from His sight. Pray for your children, asking that the Lord would use the reading of these difficult passages to teach them about His holiness and wrath against sin. Thank God for sending Jesus to take that punishment for us. DAY THREE

Read: Acts 5:7-11 Questions for discussion: -Explain what happened with Ananias' wife, Sapphira. -What does it mean to "test the Spirit of the Lord"? -What is the church? The church is all everywhere. -What was the response of the church after these things happened? (verse 11)

Prayer Points: Talk with your child about the power of God. He is our creator. We are His creatures, and He has all control over our lives. Thankfully, this same God who is all powerful loves us deeply - so much so that He sent His son Jesus to die in our place. But God cannot let sin go unpunished. There are always consequences for our sin. Pray together, ask God to help you see your sin in the light of His holiness. Thank Him for His mercy, and confess sin together. Pray: Father, we know that following you is not always easy. We know that as Christians people will come against us and may even tell lies about us. Thank you that we can rely on the truth of your word, and your presence through the Holy Spirit to guide us. We pray that the Holy Spirit would make us look more like you, so much so that people would notice and ask about the peace and hope that we have in you. DAY TWO

Read: Follow this link for a kid-friendly, condensed version of this passage. Questions for discussion: -Why did people want to hurt Stephen? -What did Stephen say to those who were accusing Him? He told the people how God had been preparing the way for Jesus since before the time of Abraham. -How was Stephen able to be brave when all of these people were angry with him? How was he able to stand firm?

Prayer Points: Pray for your child(ren). Ask the Lord to give them a love for Him and a desire to follow Him. Ask God to fill you as their parents with the power of the Holy Spirit in all areas of your life, so that you can be a testimony to His presence and His goodness in the life of your child. DAY THREE

Prayer Points: Thank Jesus for His promise to never leave us. Thank Him for being our Great High Priest, seated at the right hand of God, representing us to the Father. PHILIP'S JOURNEY IN DAY ONE

Read: Acts 8:4-8; Use the map on page 3 to help your child visualize Philip's journey from Samaria, to , to Gaza. Questions for discussion: -Where did Philip go and what did he do there? -How did the crowds respond? -What was the result (verses 7-8)? Why does the church exist? The church exists to glorify God.

Prayer Points: God, thank you for the testimony we have in your word. You are powerful and you can do anything. Thank you for being the giver of joy. Father, help us to live this week to bring glory to you. Help us to share about you with those in our lives, and help us to love and serve those you put in our lives well this week. Help us to be people who love, share, and show kindness to others. May it all be for your glory. DAY TWO

Sing: Choose a song from page 2 to sing together this week. Read: Acts 8:26-33; Use the map on page 3 to help your child visualize Philip's journey from Samaria, to Jerusalem, to Gaza. Questions for discussion: -Who told Philip to go to a desert road? -Where was the man in the chariot from? -What did Philip ask the man? -Who were the words Isaiah wrote about? (Jesus) -How do you see God working in this story? (suggested answer: He sent Philip to explain the truth of His word to a man who was seeking after God through scripture.)

Prayer Points: Thank God for the power of His word and that through it we can know Him more. Spend time recounting all of the things God has provided in your lives that you can thank Him for. Then, pray together and thank God for these things. Ask God to reveal to your children all the ways He has been good to them, and ask that God would work in their hearts and give them a spirit of thankfulness. DAY THREE

Read: Acts 8:34-39 Questions for discussion: -What did the Ethiopian man think about the good news about Jesus? -How have you responded to the good news about Jesus? -Why does the church exist? The church exists to glorify God. -How can we glorify God? We can glorify God by loving Him and by obeying His commands.

Prayer Points: Talk to your child about their faith and their personal response to Jesus. Share your testimony with them - tell them about how you came to know and follow Jesus. Questions for discussion: -Who worked hard in the early days of the church to stop people sharing about Jesus? -What do we learn about Saul in these verses? Why did he want to hurt the followers of Jesus? -Why does the church exist? The church exists to glorify God. -How can we glorify God? We can glorify God by loving Him and by obeying His commands.

Prayer Points: Father, thank you that you are in control of all things. You bring people to know you in many different ways. Thank you for the testimony of Saul. We thank you that his life was changed by you, Jesus. Through this testimony, we see that no one is too far from you. You are mighty to save and can save anyone who calls upon your name. Bring everyone in this family into your kingdom, and help us to live for your glory. DAY TWO

Read: :1-9 (or read the story of Saul's conversion from your children's .) Questions for discussion: -Why was Saul traveling to Damascus? -Who did Saul meet as he was traveling along? -What did Jesus ask Saul? -What happened to Saul after he met Jesus on the road to Damascus?

Prayer Points: Thank God for the way He works in the lives of people. Thank Him that nothing is impossible for Him. Ask Him to transform your life and the lives of your children through spending time with Him. DAY THREE

Read: Acts 9:10-19 (or read the story of Saul's conversion from your children's bible.) Questions for discussion: -What did God tell Ananias to do? -How did Ananias respond? What did God tell Ananias He had planned for Saul? -Why were the people so amazed when Saul said that Jesus is the Son of God?

Prayer Points: We don't always understand what God is doing. As in the case of Ananias, he knew that Saul was a dangerous man, but still God told Ananias to go to him. Ananias, not understanding, still obeyed the Lord. He went to Saul, called him "brother" and laid hands and prayed for him, and the Lord restored His sight. Prayer Points: God thank you for loving us. Thank you for the examples in your word of how you pursue people who are seeking after you. God, thank you for giving your word to our family. Help us to live in obedience to your word and glorify you with our lives. We thank you for the gospel that is the good news that you sent your son, Jesus, into the world to save sinners like us. Help us to share this gospel with those around us this week. DAY TWO

Questions for discussion: -Why did God give Peter a vision? (to show him the good news about Jesus is for everyone) -What do you learn about God from this passage? -What is the gospel? The gospel is the good news that God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to rescue sinners.

Prayer Points: Thank God for his kindness in revealing truth to us. Talk about how nothing is impossible for God - he sent Peter to Cornelius, whom he had never met, in a completely different town, just so Cornelius could hear the good news of Jesus. God is so amazing! Spend some time thanking Him and praising Him together. Ask Him to reveal to your family who you need to share the good news of Jesus with this week. DAY THREE

Questions for discussion: -What happened when Peter told Cornelius, his family, and friends about Jesus? -Why were the Jewish believers amazed? (verse 45) -What do you learn about God from this passage? -What do you learn about people from this passage? -What is the gospel? The gospel is the good news that God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to rescue sinners.

Prayer Points: Thank God that the gospel is for all people. Thank Him for including us in his rescue plan, and that we can become a part of His family by our faith in Jesus. Pray for your kids; ask that they would have an authentic faith that would last a lifetime.
