Information with respect to the Munsiff ± Magistrate Court, Haripad under Section 4(1) (b) of the Right To Information Act, 2005. 1. Organisation, functions and duties The Munsiff ± Magistrate Court , Haripad is situated in the heart of Haripad town in Karthikappally Taluk in Alappuzha district. The court is presided by the Munsiff ± Magistrate. It has got 12 villages in its territorial jurisdiction. Staff details consists one Junior Superintendent, 1 Head Clerk, 11 Clerks, 1 Confidential Assistant, 5 Typists, 1 Attender, 1 Court Keeper, 3 Amins, 16 Process Servers, 2 Office Attenders, 1 Part Time sweeper. The functions and duties of this court is primarily based on Administration of justice in its jurisdiction. To take on file and dispose off various cases filed by litigants etc. 2. The powers and duties of officers and employees The court is dutybound to receive and dispose off various types of cases, both civil and criminal, arising in its jurisdiction based on various law in force. In the administrative side the court is handling various problems relating to its employees for ensuring the well beings and better service condition for them. 3. The procedure followed in the decision making process, including channels of supervision and accountability In judicial side the files are channeled through Junior Superintendent → Inward Clerk → Bench Clerk → Presiding Officer. Administrative files are channeled through Clerks → Junior Superintendent → Presiding Officer. 4. The norms set for the discharge of functions The functions of the Court is discharged in accordance with the variious rules and regulations constituted for the purpose., Issues are dealt with on priority basis, expeditiously taking in to account, the various instructions issued from superior courts from time to time. 5. Statements of Boards, Councils, Committees and other bodies Internal complaints committee is functioning in the office to deel with the problems of woman employees. Meetings of these Committees are not open to the public. Minutes of the meetings will be made available to the public on request, subject to the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005. 9.
