25 Kingsway , Swansea Fenestration Development The fenestration has been developed to provide a robust appearance that complement the surrounding elevational treatments and interpret them in a contemporary manner. The rationalisation of the scheme façade into simple grouped bays provides an static & solid appearance, these bays draw on the proportions and materiality of the surrounding historic buildings ensuring that our proposal sits sympathetically within the surroundings.
7-13 The Kingsway Static & Grouped Fenestration
Adjacent NCP Carpark Dynamic Fenestration
26 Fenestration Development To contrast the static appearance of the lower block, the 11 storey element has a series of vertically grouped and staggered bays, this grouping and staggering helps to provide a sense of verticality and dynamism within a relatively modest scale, ensuring that the building provides a gateway statement on a key corridor into the city centre without over dominating the surrounding buildings.
