Fashion Partnerships Puma Portfolio Value creation for ashion, enterainmen, and consumer brands is what I do. My core services are business development and executive production. I’ve led teams for the Bloomberg family, Vice Media, Milk Studios, and Endeavor. I am a creative-adjacent entrepreneur, and I offer my network, brain, and organizational energy to people and projects that want to make a greater difference. Business Development In 2017, Telfar won the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund award, America’s premier fashion prize. In addition to organizing Telfar’s runway shows as part of Made Fashion Week, I’ve brought brand partners such as Puma and Motorola to collaborate with Telfar. Cofounder Better World is a pre-raise, packaged goods company. Each product sold funds and restores jungle ecosystems throughout the Pan-American Verde. Initial development is thanks in part to the Ford Foundation. Executive Production Skate Kitchen is a New York City-based skateboarding collective that is featured in a Crystal Moselle and Magnolia Pictures scripted documentary starring Jaden Smith. Managing Director Made Fashion Week 350+ runway shows, acquisition from Milk Studios to Endeavor, global expansion beyond New York City to Paris, Berlin, Sydney and Los Angeles, and vertical expansion into Music with American Express; I secured over $30m dollars in revenue and deep cultural credibility as Made’s Managing Director. Co-creator In partnership with AEG, Made Los Angeles featured fashion shows with Jeremy Scott, Tyler the Creator, Hood by Air, Wiz Khalifa x 424, and Snoop Dogg alongside a marketplace of 40+ pop-ups stores. Executive Production Golf Wang As a headline fashion show at Made Los Angeles, we organized Tyler’s fashion show to include original music, theatre, and a performance for 3000 die hard Tyler, the Creator fans. Golf Wang is now embraced by Vogue and garners international fashion spotlight. Co-creator Made Berlin As a true celebration of Berlin’s creativity, we organized a presentation by Eckhaus Latta, evening dinner and presentation with Ottolinger, and pop-up with famed icon Patricia Fields. To bring Made Berlin, we worked with Reference Studios’ founder Mumi Haiati. Co-creator Made Sydney Made Sydney brought international spotlight and fashion credibility to Sydney’s burgeoning fashion scene. We created an amateur skateboarding contest hosted by Corbin Harris, hosted 20+ small labels in our marketplace, and organized a mega runway show by Parisian fashion house Faith Connexion. Executive Production 2 Chainz Party To add more fun and culture into a sometimes boring matrix of New York Fashion Week fashion shows, we partnered with 2Chainz to release his CE0,000,000 capsule collection at 1-time only party in Milk Studios’ Jam Room. Executive Production Alex Mill, a New York City menswear brand, is launching womenswear and shifting to a direct-to-consumer business model. The brand is under the leadership of Alex Drexler, Somsack Sikhounmuong, and Mickey Drexler. Market Strategy With Imprint Projects, Levi’s agency of record, we laid a foundation for a new Levi’s Workwear expansion plan that incorporates new imagery, merchandising toolkits, and market differentiation. Reail Strategy In collaboration with Imprint Projects, we created a new regional retail strategy for Muji USA. Thought of an everyday brand in Asia, Muji is a specialty destination for US consumers. Through a system and series of workshops, we are changing that for Muji! Strategic Partnerships Intel I’ve worked 10+ years with Intel on different types of cultural programs ranging from The Creators Project at VICE, Electrified with David Blaine, and more recently, with Chromat, Rochambeau, FrameStore and Hussein Chalayan on product collaborations. Strategic Partnerships Maybelline New York After a hiatus from New York Fashion Week, I re-introduced a designer sponsorship program as Made and NYFW’s lead cosmetic partner, directly supporting nearly 80 designers with makeup artistry, teams, and nail artistry. Fashion Partnerships Puma Looking to garner attention for its new EvoKnit sneaker, Puma partnered with Rochambeau, Telfar, Cam’Ron, Gitoo, and Bloody Osiris during New York Fashion Week. Fashion Partnerships Verizon As part of Verizon’s #WhyNotWednesday campaign and in partnership with R/GA, we created special access programming for Verizon customers to attend runway show and win products from designers like Adam Selman, Jeremy Scott, and Alexander Wang. Business Development “ In partnership with Vanguard Company and Knell Company, we build strategic partnerships to access China’s consumer market. We arrange distribution, financing, channel development, talent marketing, and licensing. I’ve developed a global network that spans ashion, media, and enterainmen. CREW GROUP’S greatest asset — the exacting and merchandising-infused leadership of Millard “Mickey” Drexler — has become something of a complication for the company’s private equity owners as they consider selling the retailer. THURSDAY, JUNE 5, 2014 ■ $3.00 ■ WOMEN’S WEAR DAILY Drexler, the driving force behind Gap Inc.’s suc- WWD cess in the Nineties, is the rare executive who’s seen as having the magic touch by both Wall Street and the fashion crowd. His hands-on approach and ability to pick product helped put J. Crew back on the map when he took the helm as chief executive offi cer and chairman in 2003. And he will be a very diffi cult man to replace when he decides to step down. Especially now that the company is experiencing a period of slower growth. Late Wednesday, J. Crew said refi nancing costs pushed it to a loss in the fi rst quarter, while adjusted earnings fell and comparable company sales declined 2 percent (after 5 percent growth a year earlier). It was J. Crew’s promise under Drexler that attract- ed deep-pocketed investors TPG and Leonard Green Spot & Partners, who teamed up with the ceo to take the retailer private in 2011 for $3 billion — a price that refl ected what might be called a “Mickey Premium.” They bought not only the company, but Drexler’s stew- 2015 ardship and aura.

Movement, Music, Feminism: An Analysis of Movement-Music Interactions and the Articulation of Masculinity in Tyler, the Creator’s ‘Yonkers’ Music Video Maeve Sterbenz NOTE: The examples for the (text-only) PDF version of this item are available online at: h+p:,,www.mtosmt.org,issues,mto.11.23.2,mto.01.23.2.sterben4.php 5EYWORDS: Movement, embodiment, feminist analysis, hip hop A9STRACT: Traditionally, explicit discussion of listeners’ bodies and personal experiences does not often appear in the realm of music analytical observations. One of the reasons for this omission is the masculinist bias that, prior to the 1990s, characteri4ed much of the field, and that tended to dismiss metaphorical language, overtly subjective musical descriptions, and the role of the body in musical practices all at once. A primary goal of feminist music theory has been to combat this bias by acknowledging many di>erent kinds of bodily experiences as vital to music analysis. In this paper, I suggest an analytical approach that examines interactions between human movement and music in detailed terms, in service of a feminist aim to take bodies seriously. Specifically, I aim to show how music-analytical a+ention can be productively directed towards the performing bodies that move to music in multimedia pieces by o>ering a close reading of a music video by the rapper Tyler, The Creator. My analysis focuses on the relationship between Tyler’s movement and the music and on this relationship’s role in informing ways that we might read his self-positioning and identity formation. In so doing, I hope to ?esh out a new feminist approach to analysis.
