Are Angels Religious?

I hear this question frequently, so I am addressing it first. Although angels appear in different religious stories, they are not necessarily “religious.”

In Christianity, the angels announce the coming of Christ; they appear to Mary to tell her that she is carrying a baby, and to Joseph to tell him that Jesus will be God’s son.

In Judaism the angels are known as the “messengers of God.” They are spoken of in the Kabbalah, were thought of as spirits who served God, and never having been in human form.

Islam teaches that angels are God’s messengers. They are mentioned multiple times in both the Koran and the Hadith.

In the Baha’i faith, angels are known to come to us to confirm there is a celestial God of power, and are described as “blessed beings” beyond this world, taking on angelic qualities.

Alas, the word “angel” is derived from the Greek word “angelos," meaning “messenger.” I love this, because it sums up so much and brings it together. Most religions can agree on one thing: angels are messengers, bringing forward messages of hope, peace, purpose, and love.

There are many angels for different purposes. They will speak the language you speak, which you will understand and build here. It doesn’t matter which religion you choose to identify with, or maybe none at all. Angels are messengers here to help guide you to your best life.

Angel Acknowledgement Take a trip down memory lane, and write down a few words that you associate with angels, or maybe even draw an image of what you imagine angels to look like (they will show up how you vision them):

According to Angelology (theological dogma or speculation concerning angels), there are 9 various types of angels. Here I have separated those into 3 groups; A, B, and C.

Group A is known to see the highest power directly. You might refer to this highest power as God, Love, The Universe, or Spirit. Group A consists of Seraphim, Cherubim, and Thrones.

Serpah or Seraphim: These angels are known as having the closest proximity to Universal Source. They put off a fiery light that is intense, yet all loving. When artists paint seraphims, they will often times use the color red to depict their name, “burning or fiery ones.”

Cherub or Cherubim: Their name means fullness of wisdom. You may envision cherub angels to look like chubby figures with wings. If you were to refer to ancient art however, you would see them illustrated opposite of a cute cuddly creature. This group of angels keep celestial records and hold the knowledge of The Divine Source.

Thrones: Thrones resemble and manage Divine justice, judicial power, and judgment. The symbolism of thrones are unique; two wheels circling each other with eyes.

Group B focus on balance between good and bad. These angels fulfill the Divine plan for the universe. they are considered “heavenly governors” between the celestial and human worlds.

Dominions or Dominations: Dominions are referred to as “middle management.” They take direction from the seraphim and cherubim, then they delegate onward. Their name invokes authority.

Virtues receive direction from the dominions, and regulate the universe Virtues: (sun, moon, stars, and planets). They take a particular keen interest in earthly things such as science, music, healing, and art. Their name suggests power or strength.

Powers: As their name suggests, they face and work against against evil, and they stand for peace. They help cleanse the universe of lower energies. They are at work in areas of religion, theology, and ideology.

Group C, is the group of angels you will most likely work with the most. As a human, you can relate best because they are most like you. This choir of angels deals with human affairs.

© 2017 Gina Nicole www.ginanicole.net Principalities: These angels watch over planet earth, and are actionable where countries and cities are concerned. The Principalities delegate to the archangels and angels (below). They watch over religion and politics.

Archangels: The next two mentioned, are the angels I personally work the closest with. They deliver important messaging from the Highest Source, to humans. The archangels (and angels) are the guardians of people. Archangels can be invited to assist with matters involving all humankind. The archangels are known as “The Chief Messengers.” Each archangel has a speciality.

Angels: Angels lead and guard people. Unlike the principalities who watch over earth as a whole, the angels guard us personally. They keep individuals and households safe from lower energies. They guide, nourish, and heal. We all have a "personal angel: with us daily.

While some want to have an idea of all of the above, for the purposes of this course, you will be focusing primarily group C. They are the closest to you, and deal with human affairs.

Angel Acknowledgement Imagine all of the different areas of life; work, career, money, learning, children. What are your top three “specialities of focus” right now?

Angel Acknowledgement Taking into consideration the “specialities of focus” from the last section, and using the chart above, which archangels are you most called to working with?

© 2017 Gina Nicole www.ginanicole.net Angelic Breathing There are about 6,500 languages in the world today. Just as various groups of people have their own language, such is true for angels. Fortunately for you, it is universal and easy! Breath is the universal force that will connect you to your angels.

As you breath deeper and become more aware of your breath, you become more calm, relaxed, and able to be in the flow of life. This includes giving and receiving loving messages. Let’s examine the four parts to your breath as below:

Inhale > Hold > Exhale > Hold

Visualize yourself receiving love, with your angel(s) surrounding • On The Inhale: you. They may look like a bright light, a human, or something else. Imagine your face and what you would look like living your very best life. Imagine your heart being filled with so much joy. Notice every good feeling that comes with this receptivity.

In my experience, the “holding” spaces at the top and • The Hold After Inhale: bottom of your breath, is where you can make the strongest connection with your angels. This is a good time to send appreciation for what you are wanting to receive. It is important to remember to stay in gratitude, and feel the feeling that overcomes you as you hold, “thank you for ….”

• On The Exhale: To stay in constant flow, you must give and receive. Imagine sending big love back to your angel(s) and to the world. Focus on how that would feel. Perhaps that is simple appreciation, or helping mother earth. Use your exhale to visualize shining light from your heart, out to the world.

• The Hold After Exhale: The hold at the end of your breath is again a good time to make clear connection, in a thankful way. Hold appreciation for being able to have so much you are able to give back.

Breathe generously and deeply. The deeper your breath, the deeper your connection. The clearest conversations I have with my angels, are during exercise. I always use my time during activities such as yoga, speed walking, and on the elliptical, to talk with them.

If you feel silly speaking out loud, don’t. Use breath. You can be silent, go into delishly good feelings, give gratitude, and hold in your heart what you want to communicate. Use the four parts of your breath as outlined above, and have faith your messages are being heard.

© 2017 Gina Nicole www.ginanicole.net What To Say To Connect With Your Angels Angels are always wanting to help you, and they will make themselves ready for the conversation. Now that you know their language you can get to that, but first, etiquette!

If you take nothing else from this course, hear this loud: angels will not help unless they are asked. Your connection with your angels is like any other relationship in your life; relational! You must treat the conversation with love, integrity, and be active in the connection.

It’s important to make conversation with your angels that feels good to all parties. Following are my “ABC” tips to consider when starting a conversation with your angels:

A. APPRECIATE: Always stay in gratitude and show appreciation. I first thank the highest Divine Source of where they come from, and then invite in my angels. With that in mind, which of the following sounds more effective to you?

1. “Angels, please help me find a job because I just can’t stand my job anymore, and I really need money.” 2. “Thank you angel team for always clearly guiding me to live my purpose. Thank you for helping me to maintain a job that I love.”

I hope you said two! Remember this is like any other relationship. In all relationships positive reinforcement goes far. No one likes a demanding Nag!

B. BE BENEVOLENT: Set the intention to always stay in a place of benevolence, only inviting the very highest vibration of love into your space. Invite the angels in to bring messages of love, hope, peace, and goodwill. Thank them for helping you to stay grounded, and for keeping lower vibrations away always.

C. CONSCIOUSLY CREATE: The words you speak in each moment create a feeling within. That feeling is transferred outward through breath. Consciously create your feelings to be positive ones! Imagine “praying” in silence with no words. Your intention is received through your feelings. If it feels sad or hopeless in any way, change that. Your feeling is the calling card to your angels, so create feelings (through your words) that will help you feel your best!

What you focus on will grow, so focus on the good in your angel conversations. Go back to basic etiquette; be polite and don’t ignore, be thankful with a grateful heart, and don’t cut them off! Also very important … have fun! Everyone enjoys laughter and humor, even your angels.

APPRECIATE: First state what it is that you are thankful for, and I always recommend thanking the Highest Source first. Stay in positive affirmation vs. “I want,” “I need,” or “give me.” Try staring with “Thank you angels for,” or “I appreciate…”

BE BENEVOLENT: Let your angles know you are coming from a place of goodwill and love, and you intend for this communication to only let love and light in.

CONSCIOUSLY CREATE: The words you use create a feeling within you that is your ultimate request. What words will you include to keep consciously creating high vibrating feelings?

© 2017 Gina Nicole www.ginanicole.net Faith You learned the language, the conversation, and now you must trust. Trusting that everything is happening in Divine order is important. Having faith that your angels are around you, is key to connecting with them.

Following is my acronym for FAITH ….

F = finding

A = angels

I = in

T = the

H = heart

Believe that your angels are around you, and trust that they will deliver beyond your wildest imagination. This is pertinent to connecting with them. If you don’t receive results right away, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. Trust that they are there. Just like any other relationship, you must nurture them to grow.

Think of it this way, if you were just introduced to a new friend, you aren’t going to talk every hour of every day, and they most likely aren’t going to come spend the weekend with you (I appreciate in some rare cases that might happen, and sometimes that can happen in the angelic realm).

Typically, these relationships do take time to nurture and grow. So while you are first beginning to connect with your angel team, have patience and know that they are there. In time, the relationship will grow. You will “Find Angels In The Heart.”

Angel Acknowledgement Faith is like a muscle, it needs to be exercised, and daily. Write down three action steps you will commit to today, to begin exercising your F.A.I.T.H. (*Hint: you just learned one in the last section).

© 2017 Gina Nicole www.ginanicole.net Signs and Symbols When you make an ask of your angel team (in the form of appreciation), it may take time to get an answer, and it may be a subtle answer. Exercising patience, and F.A.I.T.H., is key.

Just like any relationship, creating your relationship with your angel(s) is also going to take time. Getting immediate results doesn’t mean they are not around, don’t hear you, or won’t help you. It simply takes time.

Something you can put into practice while patiently waiting a response, is thanking them (I didn’t say asking) for unique signs and symbols for you.

There is no better way to help you understand angelic presence, that to share the signs angels have given to me and my clients.

Following are angel signs and the way they may appear:

They come at the most random times, live, in Butterflies: pictures and in print. A few summers back I was resisting moving forward, and asking for my angel’s guidance, I noticed a woman with a butterfly on her shoulder and I followed her through a park. The butterfly faced me, and the woman never knew the butterfly was on her shoulder. I felt such a sense of peace, and at the same time was in awe so I took the photo pictured right. Not too long after, my mom mentioned she saw the shadow of a butterfly with no actual butterfly creating it.

Feathers: I am often left with white feathers on my path. Sometimes I pick them up to save them for later, only to find that they disappear. I once had a feather stay on my windshield for twenty miles on the freeway. When I arrived home, I went to pull it off thinking that it would be stuck, but it came off with ease.

Sound: One of the most common ways that I know my angels are present, is a high pitched ringing in my ears. When I saw the butterfly on the woman’s shoulder, I heard the ringing first. That is what prompted me to look around, and I then noticed the butterfly.

© 2017 Gina Nicole www.ginanicole.net Shapes: Shapes can come in so many different forms; rocks, plants, food, and one of my favorites is leaves as pictured left. Sometimes you may not know what a shape means, but you are simply drawn to it. Other, times you clearly know how the shape speaks to you. That was the case for me and the leaf in this photo. One of my angel’s is named April. She shows me the shape of a bull head when she is near. Eventually I realized because April is linked directly to the Taurus, this is a shape she will give to me to let me know she is with me.

Clouds: I see clouds in various shapes like angels, wings, and feathers. The picture to the right was sent to me by my dear friend. She captured two consecutive pictures of clouds in the shape of feathers, and immediately knew that her angels were with her on a road trip. I was also traveling that weekend and saw a feather cloud when I arrived to my destination.

Music: Angels will give you messages in music either on the radio, through live instruments, or sometimes be surprising and come out of nowhere. I remember being in a place of fear and thanking the angels: “Thank you for showing me everything is okay!” They sent me Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds” song three times that day—on the radio, in a store and with a live band that I just so happened to be walking by. It truly has been all good!

Animals: Have you ever noticed an animal appear in calmness, when you have really needed support or had a lot on your mind? The animal may even stick around and hang with you for a bit. My grandma is a guardian angel for me I know. Before she left her human form, she said she would visit me as an owl if she could. Several weeks ago, the beautiful creature pictured left appeared. I was dreaming about her so much around the same time, and seeing wonderful synchronicities. Angels show me their presence through wildlife, birds and even my own dog all the time.

© 2017 Gina Nicole www.ginanicole.net Sparkles: Seeing little sparkles out of the corner of your eye or in your peripheral vision can be angel sparkles. For the longest time, I would call the angels my sparkle buddies, because this is how I saw them—as little sparkles!

Color: Each archangel is associated with a color (that you now know). I am conscious of what color I am drawn to wear before each meeting with clients. Typically, I will wear the color of the angel coming through for that person. Nine out of 10 times they show up with that color on as well! You can also notice when you start seeing repetitive colors, or are drawn to colors you wouldn’t necessarily wear or even like.

All of these are powerful messages, and when you see things in three, take special note. Keep the faith that your angels are with you, because they are. If you doubt it for even a moment, stop, breathe, and thank them for a sign. They want to work miracles in your life, but you must ask. If you invite them in, things will unfold in the most unexpected ways.

Angel Acknowledgement Think of various signs, symbols, names, songs, repetitive numbers, and images you frequently come across. Even if you aren’t convinced there is a link to your angel, or even if you think it is silly. This is simply brainstorming! Be open and write down six here:

Now that you have written these down, hold that intention. Angels absolutely know what you may be seeking, or how they need to appear. If you need to see an angel in full form to believe, they know that. If you write down signs you think may be appearing, they know that too!

© 2017 Gina Nicole www.ginanicole.net LiSten With The S’s You can apply everything you have learned up to this point, but if you fail to listen, you will be back at square one. Although listening requires you to pause and can almost be considered “action-less,” it is one of the most important action steps you will make in connecting with your angels.

If you are setting the intention for guidance and connection, you must listen for the response. Don’t force, or seek, instead surrender and accept.

In addition to being open to signs and symbols, there are other ways you can receive messages. I refer to them as my S factors!

Do you know what it is like to have a “gut” feeling? Have you ever caught yourself saying “I knew you were going to say that?” Do you experience vivid visuals as you are meditating, hear words, or feel temperature changes or tingles?

You are intuitive. Everyone is intuitive. Embrace your inner voice, and allow it to grow. It is through this intuition that answers come.

I use 6 main categories of intuition which I refer to as the “S factors.” These are ways that messages are delivered to you, and are as follows: SAVOR (taste), SCENT (smelling), SENSATION (feeling), SITE (seeing), SOUND (hearing), and SUGGESTION (thoughts).

Generally speaking, one will be strongest for you (typically sensation, site, sound, or suggestion), but you can develop them all if you wish. It is important for you to understand what your relate to most, so that you can not only continue to develop, but so that you can understand the various ways you may receive angel answers.

Each “S factor” is also commonly referred to as a “clair,” and I will also note those for you:

Sensation: Feeling is having sensations in your body. If you are clairsentient, you … • You may have a strong “gut” feeling about things. • You get the chills or goosebumps when something has an intense message. • Seeing vivid movie scenes or photos literally makes you feel a certain way. • You can sense a shift in energy when someone walks in the room. • You are able to “feel” someone looking at you. • You have a hard time being in large crowds or around big groups. • You can feel a person’s pain or even become ill when visiting a sick person.

If you are clairvoyant, you may … • see photo like images in your mind. • have scenarios play like a movie reel in your mind. • see a street sign that has a message for you. • see repetitive numbers or words that hold meaning. • see a license plate passing by with a significant name or repetitive numbers. • have vivid dreams. • see sparkles of light or shadow figures from the corner of your eye.

… Sound: Clear hearing is receiving through your ears. If you are clairaudient, you may • hear chimes, music, or lyrics in songs that apply to your current question. • over hear conversations that inspire you. • hear animal sounds like birds chirping, that come at a Divine time. • hear a buzzing sound or high pitch ringing in your ear. • hear a familiar positive, joyful, and sometimes direct voice inside your mind. • listen more than talk or respond.

… Suggestion: An inner knowing when you just know things. If you are claircognizant, you • may find yourself thinking “I knew that was going to happen.” • know things without knowing how, and sometimes even surprise yourself. • create something in your mind, and bring it to life with creativity. • have many ideas that come to you, sometimes too many. • have an uncanny way of knowing if someone is being honest with you. • have a strong sense of people.

There are two “S factors” I find that are not as common. The first is scent (smell or clairscent). If you have a strong “Scent S Factor” you may smell a scent out of nowhere that comes to you as an answer, or maybe even makes you think of a loved one.

The other is Savor (taste or clairgustance). If you have a strong “Savor S Factor” you have the keen ability to develop a taste in your mouth, and even taste things just by looking at them. This is a good thing to use while in a restaurant and wondering what is good to eat!

To help you determine what your primary “S factor” is, think about the last time you were explaining something to someone. Which of the following are you most likely to say ask:

“Do you feel me?” or “Does that feel good to “Do you hear what I am saying?” or “Do you you?” (Sensation - Feeling) hear me?” (Sound - Clear Hearing) “Do you see what I mean?” or “See what “You know what I mean?” or “You am saying?” (Site - Clear Seeing) know?” (Suggestion or Clear Knowing)

For example, if you see a fuchsia pink color it could be Archangel Jophiel. Perhaps seeing an animal is Archangel Ariel. Or maybe it is a guardian Angel for you. You can refer to the colored Archangel Chart, to help make some connections. Allow your mind to be free as well. Nothing is “wrong.” Trust that everything is appearing at the right time.

Angel Acknowledgement Thinking about the last time you were explaining something to someone, how did you confirm they understood? For example, I often say, “do you see what I mean,” or “does that make sense?”

Based on this, circle the below “S Factors” you think best suit you:

SAVOR (Taste) SCENT (Smell) SENSATION (Feeling)

SITE (Seeing) SOUND (Hearing) SUGGESTION (Thoughts)

© 2017 Gina Nicole www.ginanicole.net Keep an Attitude of Gratitude Angels love a grateful heart. When you are thankful for what you have, and you let your appreciation shine out into the world, you will receive more to be grateful for.

This is a part of the law of abundance; a system of rules that work best when they are followed. Practice it every day to see the best results, and watch how living in gratitude shifts your life.

Give thanks and feel the gratitude in your heart for the guidance you receive. You will then receive more guidance! The feeling piece is very essential to this. Now you know, more than anything else, angels hear us through our breath work, and then our feeling. One of the reasons affirmations are so powerful, is because they change our energetic makeup. They change our feeling! That feeling vibrates outward.

So when I say the angels love a grateful heart, and keeping in mind you can find them in your heart, allow your heart to literally FEEL full of angelic love and appreciation.

Accept that guidance is just that; guidance. Guidance does not come with a result and. it does not mean you get an outcome. You get guidance; small steps to the next thing. Have faith a point will come where all of the guidance you follow will make sense.

The guidance you receive will not come with results. Meet that idea with peace, and don’t force things to happen. The universe has planned far better than what you can imagine. TRUST. Follow each piece of guidance, but don’t expect it to result in anything.

Angel Acknowledgement Let’s play with this! Pause for a moment and think of something you absolutely love unconditionally. This may be a child, spouse, animal, or maybe an event. Do not move forward until you have that in your mind.

Now bring your awareness to this entity that you love unconditionally. Momentarily, you will close your eyes, breath deep, and continue to think of this. Notice where in your body you feel it.

Pause and do this now.

(My guess is in your heart or somewhere above or close to your heart. The energy of what we love literally exists in our hearts, and this exercise is proof of that.)

Now think of a decision or situation you are faced with, and reverse engineer that using gratitude as if it has already happened.

As an example, if you are trying to make a big career decision, give thanks for everything about your current job; “Angels thank you for having a thriving purpose that keeps me in the FEELING of the LIGHT, supporting my every need. I am forever appreciative for the abundant flow of resources in my life that I continually SEE appear. Thank you.”

Allow your conversation to carry on. Even if you don’t like your job, still give thanks about the things you do like. Focusing on what you don’t like will only keep you there.

Feel the love you would feel as if you were in your dream job. See yourself with BIG JOY on your face.

If you focus on the “I don’t know what to do” statements, your situation will be that.

Using the “ABC’s,” and even your “S factors” write a thank you note to your angels:

As mentioned earlier, guidance does not not come with an outcome or a result. You will receive signs and answers, leading you to a small step to the next thing. Have faith a point will come where all of the guidance you follow will make sense.

I find it very helpful to journal. Here are some bullet points that I keep note of in my own journal:

• Ringing in my ears • Messages in songs • Animals that have visited (taking special note of those coming in 3 or more) • Repetitive messages from others • Repetitive messages in my mind • Dreams (repetitive and not) • Body aches, ailments, tightness, trends • New people of purpose showing up • Strong urges • Signs that are showing up

Bring love into your home and into your space! If you are finding that more patience are required than you would like to be practicing, declutter. That always helps me. A clear space allows for a clear mind, and a clear communication flow!
