John Robert Wiltgen Design, Inc. has announced the completion of its 23rd home within Chicago's prominent Trump International Hotel and Tower.Chicago, USA - November 6, 2015 /PressCable/ -- CHICAGO--John Robert Wiltgen Design, Inc. has announced the completion of its 23rd home within Chicago's prominent Trump International Hotel and Tower. The Chicago-based design firm imagined and created each individual living space to be as distinctive as its owners John Robert Wiltgen, the company's president, said the Tower "represents a living portfolio of our original designs." He and his award-winning team designed many homes inside the hotel-condo high-rise from scratch, with the grandest ones comprising more than 4,000 square feet of interior space. The largest was 6,735 square feet. One residence in particular, an 86th-floor penthouse with 12-foot ceilings, was featured on the cover of Luxe Magazine as well as on NBC's "Open House." Wiltgen and his team handled every aspect of its design, preparing architectural drawings, supervising all the subcontracting work and handling the purchases of all furniture and artwork. Wiltgen said he is grateful to "the Donald" for his decision to construct the Tower only a few blocks from the JRWD office, which made it easy for his team to "run back and forth to meet delivery trucks, workmen and clients" throughout the process of designing each of these 23 luxury condominiums. This was not the company's first venture into the creation of luxury high-rise living spaces. The JRWD team has worked up and down Chicago's Magnificent Mile in other prominent buildings including the Carlisle, One Mag Mile, Water Tower Place, Olympia Centre, Chicago Place and the Heritage at Millennium Park. His clients have taken him around the world, and in 2010 he started a new division in Nigeria. Wiltgen and his design team have earned dozens of awards for the homes they have created. He has been noted as the youngest recipient to ever receive the Merchandise Mart's Outstanding Achievement in the Design Profession award. His teenage years were spent pursuing his love of the performing arts but he soon turned to expressing his creativity through interior design. By age 19, he was a partner at Byron, Wiltgen Associates, and by age 21, he opened his own practice. The firm continues to create homes in the Trump International Tower as buyers of resale units call upon the firm for its help. A WORD FROM OUR CHAIRWOMAN “...an opportunity to imagine a truly equitable America.” FREEDOM IS MORE THAN A WORD The year 2020 will be one that historians will study for years to come, a global pandemic and its economic impact will deserve examination and analysis . Historians will look anew on the nation’s largest grassroots movement; the people demanding a more just society . Today, racial justice is a national focus and provides an opportunity to imagine a truly equitable America . As we celebrate 80 years of the Field Foundation, we are reminded that our founder Marshall Field III had deep insights into issues that divided America and the need to build one community, one nation, by addressing racism and intolerance . In his book, Freedom is More than a Word, he suggested a pledge: I will respect the rights of all men equally, without regard to their race and creed.
