She sat out against Penn State but returned to action against Charlotte. Corrina Turner: The 6-6 sophomore center will miss the 2003-04 season after MRI results revealed a torn with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her left knee. Turner suffered the injury in practice at the Ted Constant Convocation Center on October 27, one day prior to the Lady Monarchs’ annual Blue-White Scrimmage. Turner, who was voted Preseason First Team All-CAA by the coaches and Preseason Second Team All- CAA by the media, averaged 6.2 points and 7.0 rebounds in her first full season in an Old Dominion uniform. In her true freshman season in 2000-01, Turner appeared in six games averaging 10.2 points and 5.7 rebounds before tearing her right ACL. The following season, 2001-02, she retore the same knee forcing her to sit out another season. Tish Lyons: Newcomer, 5-10 forward, Tish Lyons missed two of the Lady Monarchs exhibition games with a fracture to the proximal phalanx of the fifth finger on her left hand. Lyons underwent successful surgery to place a pin in the finger on November 10, had the stitches removed the following week and joined the team in practice two days later.
